Hey guys! Sorry I haven't checked in the last few days. I was sick this weekend so I didn't get any workouts in. I only missed Saturday so I figured I would go ahead anyway with month two because I don't feel that missing that one workout will be such a big deal in the long run. I just finished the fit test and feel like crap...the intensity of that test coupled with still feeling sick...bad idea. Anyway at least it's done and I did improve slightly. I need a major break before doing the workout today...hopefully I can get it in.
Just want to say you are all doing such a great job and seeing you guys push each day inspires me to keep going (even when I'm not feeling well as you can see). Congrats on your awesome progress so far!!!
So for my results....
Weight is still all over the place but no loss yet.
Lost a total of 2 inches. Some of that is from chest, waist, legs, and arms. Not sure how accurate it all is since I'm sick. Between the water and not eating and fluid retention buuttttt it still makes me happy.
The fit test:
Switch kicks: +3
Power jacks: +1
Power knees: -3
Power jump: +3
Globe jumps: 0
Suicide jumps: +2
Push-up jacks: +6
Low plank oblique: 00 -
My waist (my navel not smallest part) last year 39" :noway:
Now it's 35" flat! no sucking in, which is the max a female's waist should be so it's down hill from here.
Now ~~aim
38"~~~38"
35"~~~28"
38"~~~38"
Trying to get back to my hour glass figure, currently a rectangle :ohwell:0 -
Did you measure your waist down by your navel? If so, your suppose to go up higher. I use to measure my waist down that low until I saw the measurement thing from Hip-Hop Abs.
Just finished Max Interval Plyo. Ugh, it's not that it's hard or long. It's the friggin moves that I don't know how to do. It was very frustrating. I know it was our first time but that really irritated me. I didn't push as hard either. I know I was being a little lazy but I still did it. Sweated a bunch. I was kind of slipping on my sweat during the workout LOL. Whatever. Anyways, I have to get ready for school so tootles!0 -
I always measure 1" above my navel. No higher no lower. I haven't been pushing hard either. Feels like i'm sorta losing intrest.0

I understand why people go back to the First month of insanity. It's not because of the length or the intensity it's because of the stupid moves. Yesterday was all good. Today I was so confused on how to do some of the moves. Month 1 moves were easier to comprehend an the moved in Max Interval Plyo just made me want to sit down and forget it. Hopefully tomorrow is better. It'll make me really happy to get through the full 60 day program so lets hope!0

Started Month 1 with 23 people
Started Month 2 with 13 people including 6 people who haven't logged in for days & 1 that just left :frown:0 -
Hey ladies!
All right so Day 36 did not happen on Monday! I fell asleep for the rest of the night after the fit test. Ooopps :blushing:
Anyway...I'm finally over whatever bug I had so I officially started Month 2 today! So I'll be a few days behind you guys (Shalla & Shea). Overall the workout wasn't that bad but I'm definitely going to have to get used to the whole 1 hour thing. I liked Month 1 because the workouts were short and I have a short attention span when it comes to exercise. I get bored easily and I started feeling that around the 30-35 minute mark. Kind of scared for tomorrow after your review of it Shalla. What can you do...can't wait to be done and hopefully we get fantastic results!!0 -
Hi all!
Sounds like a bit of despondency in the group - just remember that first week when we were all trying to figure out the moves, it will get easier as we get into it! Anyone needs a bit of motivation then pick a photo of what you want to look like and place it beside the screen. Each time you feel a bit down glance at it and it will kindle that little extra. I also have a card parked beside the screen that says core. Each time I glance at the screen I see the word and it reminds me to contract the abs! Am into recovery week and traveling at the same time so hope to get most of these workouts done. Nice to see the scales show I have lost 7 lbs! Still a ways to go but nice to get something tangible after all the hard work. Keep going and do the best you can, not every day is an up day but the tortoise won the race in the end!0 -
Didn't mean to scare you LOL. Just telling you guys of my experience it may not be the same way for you. I didn't like that workout but I did like today's workout. I could've pushed harder. Seem to really be slacking this week but I'll get it together. Tomorrows workout won't get done until after work because I don't want to be late. (Again)0

Dont give up girls! Month 2 is definitely insane but I promise its worth it at the end. I am still recovery week. I am starting month 2 monday, I am a week behind you all but I seriously can not wait till month 2. Its where I saw my best results and my stamina and endurance went to the roof. Last year when I did it. I completed round 1 then when back to month 1 less than a week after. I couldnt believe how easy month 1 was. I then stopped due to life, kids, holidays, etc. lol I didnt finish that round but I did do random insanity month 2 exercises after. So I cant say I did round 2 complete.
But started again I am super excited to finish already. So keep your heads up, keep digging deep and before you know it will be over. I remember the first being hell but I stuck with it and I cannot imagine doing any other cardio. This time, I am finishing this round 2 officially.0 -
Month 2 week 5 no bueno! lol I am just taking it easy and trying to get familiar with the new "crazy" moves. I will get it together for Week 6.
I wont even talk about my diet.0 -
Unsuccessfully did Max Recovery just now. I'm so tired and achy. I don't care. Can't say tomorrow will be better because it'll be another late workout.0

Wasn't able to do my workout last night. Got home so late I couldn't even comprehend. Today I got off a little earlier so I'm going to do it now. My energy is fine it's just my everything hurts especially my feet. Working in a kitchen is defiantly a beater. It beats my body up every day. Tomorrow is going to be crazy because of the holiday. Ugh!0

@ShallaLovee1 I did get to do my workout yesterday either, cleaning, laundry & grocery shopping and I was done. ugh.
Keep up the good work tho, hopefully I can bring it hard this week..i'm on the look out for TOM hopefully it doesn't show up this week.0 -
It's that TOM for me. Ugh! It's awesome being a female sometimes but other times I think not! Anyways I'm about to make up for missing interval circuit right now. Suck all the energy I have left right outta me. Lets get it!0

Just completed Day 36 Fit test & Max interval circuit and all I can say is HOLY CRAP that was ridiculous. I feel like I haven't even done Month 1. It is a bit too Intense for me and I'm scared I won't stick with it especially since I've seen NO results.
I haven't lost any inches or weight since Day 1. My fit test is pretty much the same as it was on Day 15. How is everyone else doing? Are you all seeing major improvements?0 -
I felt exactly the same way but after the first week of month 2 all the weight I had gained since starting (which I assume was water weight) disappeared and I even lost a pound from my day 1 weight. Inches are going down as well. I haven't seen the miracle results that are advertised but there has been change. Just keep at it...the way I see it is you're half way through, might as well just finish it to say you did Insanity even if nothing else changes. It sounds bad *kitten* (!!!) and there is no way that your fitness level will not be greatly improved!0

Switch kicks: 125 (+21 from last time +5 from FT2)
Power Jacks: 70 (+/- 0)
Power Knees: 115 (+10)
Power Jumps: 40 (+5)
Globe jumps: 11 (+2 from last time, +1 from FT2)
Suicide Jumps 13 (+/- 0)
Push-up Jacks: 18 (+3)
Low Plank Oblique: 60 (+11)
Over all satisfied with the improvement this week.
@lildaug just keep pushing yourself and keep trying to improve with every aspect. Eating plays a major role in any weight loss. Maybe your eating right but not eating enough. Even if your just doing one more push-up jack than last time that's improvement. You should definitely be seeing improvement in your form, strength and endurance. I'm sure you'll get there just have to keep trying.0 -
Day 37 Max interval Plyo done. I hope I make it through this week. I'm not feelin' Month 2 at all.
@ShallaLovee1 - I'm eating around 1500-1700 calories a day so I think that's plenty to fuel my workouts. I'm sure I'm getting stronger but I can't say I'm enjoying these workouts. For instance, I only burned 400 calories doing max interval plyo and it's seems that others are burning a lot more. I usually burn about 400 calories doing aerobics or body conditioning classes at my gym which I enjoy more. I decided to try Insanity because I was getting bored with those gym classes. I just thought I would be seeing more results with this program so I feel a little bit discouraged about it all...0 -
Keep up the good work guys.0

I agree I like Month 1 much better. I eat about the same. Sometimes more sometimes less. I wish I had a HRM to know how many calories I'm burning.
I know! It's crazy how you can burn up to 300 just by walking for 30-60 minutes (little to no effort) and only burn whatever the amount may be for doing such an intense workout. Everyone is different. I've seen someone post that they've burned up to 800 cals doing insanity. It's just different for everyone.
I can totally understand your frustration with nothing changing and how that would be discouraging. If you finish the 63 days an still no results then definitely send it back and go do something you'll enjoy. That's what it's all about is finding something you'll enjoy doing that makes you come back for more.0 -
Day 38 Max Cardio Conditioning complete. I liked this DVD better than the last 2 days.0
