I have my next triathlon coming up in less than a week and am super excited about it and just had to babble for a minute. Figured you all would appreciate that! It's a sprint reverse which are my favorite. I tolerating running but it's definitely not my favorite, so I love getting that done and out of the way first! The weather here has been amazing for mid may, so hopefully it stays nice through Sunday! :). Hoping to drop a good chunk of time off my run and bikes as my technique in both those areas has definitely improved. (thanks hubby for all the great tips!). Wish me luck!

Reverse triathlons are interesting. Usually I find they're done when it's still cold so that the swimming is the last thing, and you're not all wet running out into the cold. See I'm the opposite I love biking/running and just want to get the swimming done with. I prefer duathlons in the winter/early spring.

Yeah, I've noticed in Phoenix it'a the opposite. I guess because it doesn't get too cold here. People just don't want to run in triple digit heat. :). But jointing forums like this one I realized it's not that way in the rest if the world.

It's in a suburb if Phoenix. Thankfully the weather has been unseasonably cool for this time of year. Usually we're hitting upper 90s or triple digits by now but still been in the 80s this week! Whew!

Kicked some butt! Waiting for the official results to see if I improved in my times for each area. But I got second place in the Athena's and dropped about ten minutes off of my total time! Taking a break until my Oly in August. It just gets too hot out here over the summer and I tend to get sick if I overexert myself in the extreme heat. Happy Mother's Day!

Great job!! I like reverse tri's because I usually run faster and it doesn't seem to make my bike or swim slower.

Vee- I love reverse ones. Transitions seem to easier as I just slowly strip off things instead of trying to put on socks and such while wet. ;). Also, Kywh pointed out the run goes waaaaaay better and doesn't seem to affect my bike or swim. I also love jumping in a nice cold pool after a hot run and bike.

I dropped a total of over ten minutes even though the bike was two miles longer and the run was slightly longer (about 2 tenths of a mile). So I am definitely rejoicing! It got really hot by the end of the run, so that slowed me down a bit. Last Tri until August where I head up into the mountains for my first Oly. It's just too hot in Phoenix for me to enjoy these during the summer.

    Have a great week!
