Spiders are wonderful :< I catch them and put them outside.

:drinker: I applaud people who can catch them gently. I however, just throw things at them and run away. Because I'm a scaredy cat.

And if its a centipede...war is on. I'm standing on the couch with my Raid spraying wildly and hoping the thing doesn't come and attack me.

Hmmm..I think not having the companionship....
It gets frustrating to be somewhat successful in my professional life, but my personal life sucks for the most part.

When I was single, the problem I found is that nobody seemed to be interested.... get in a relationship and they all want you, wtf is with that?

When you're with someone you ooze "stud". And for what it's worth, Jim... you're hot.

Does something happen when we turn 40 that makes being single easy? Just curious....

The toughest thing for me is I think I'm TOO picky, having been married and now divorced. I'm sure I could be in a relationship if I wanted one... I'm just not.

Not having someone to kill spiders. I hate spiders.

Get a dog. Mine just ate a spider in my living room tonight.

I would like re awaken this post due to the fact that both my housemates (UK uni student) have gone home for a week to revise and see their boyfriends, while I sit in alone revising drinking cups of tea.

21 and bored out of my brain. So yes, the loneliness is the worst bit!

Lack of companionship for sure. It was different when I was younger and had a ton of single friends. Now that I'm 30, most of my friends are married, and many of them have kids, and that cuts down on their socializing with single/childless folks. I also seem to be a magnet for long-distance relationships, so that sucks, too. I'm pretty independent, so I don't necessarily want someone around literally all the time (no live-in boyfriends for me), but it would be cool to finally have someone who lives within reasonable driving distance who I could see whenever I wanted.

I don't think I could've said this better myself!!! :flowerforyou:

Ditto. Now if it's a cockroach, there's a lot of girlish screaming. Give me spiders any day.

Companionship is definitely the toughest part for me. I do enjoy having my time to myself, but I miss having someone to come home to. I miss having someone with me through my tough times. My knee surgery was the first big event that I had to go through alone. That sucked.

I also hate going to "traditional" family events, locations with just myself and the kids. Disney World was awesome, but there were very few single parents there. We went on a picnic yesterday, walked through this massive park and we were the only family without two adults present. I'm not going to force or rush anything to happen, but I'd really like to have that other person around.

Don't smash cockroaches. They release a pheromone that attracts others in their family. You're better off spray bombing the house.

Of hundreds of different types of cockroach only four are pests. I like madagascar hissing cockroaches, they're so cute <3 and deaths head! I had three until they finally passed away.

hearing/seeing only the good stuff about my friends' marriages/engagements/babies, etc. of course, they don't post about their problems. i love love love being single but sometimes i miss companionship...and seeing only the happy stuff on facebook makes me think that they have it good all the time (which, i'm sure, they don't).

I am not really the casual sex sort. So unless I am dating, I am SOL.
