I try and use weekends as my sanity days for the week. I take some time and survey my fridge, freezer and pantry and come up with a meal plan as well as a grocery list.

From there, I tend to cook at least one meal with a few extra portions for quick meals on nights during the week when I know I'll be busy or for those days I really don't want to cook. I tend to find it relaxing as I can take that extra bit of time to cook and make something nice.

If weekends are your crazy running around day, then perhaps try doing the above on a Tuesday or other day of the week.

I hear you!!! I try to track the best I can and plan exercise's to work some of it off. Also even though I don't eat back my exercise calories (not sure why I don't since MFP says you can) I use them as a cushion for the weekend it I need to.
  • I was eating my exercise calories but i think i will use them for cushion when needed to :0)

I agree, I try to stick with what MFP recommends for calories..knowing that if I am extra hungry that day they are there. I also think MFP is a little too generous on how many calories burned during exercise...I need to get a HR monitor and compare to...so for now I cut in half what MFP says I burn:smile:
