Starting clomid this month

Options
A few weeks ago I found out my DR was leaving and wasn't sure what that was going to do to our plan of starting Clomid in another 2 months. but since I have done better with my weightloss than my DR expected she is starting me on clomid and since today is Day 1 of my Cycle I get to start it this month.

I am woundering what other's experience has been, did you feel really hormonal? Was there any affect in your weight because of it? I am staying on my metformin during this time.

The 1st cycle I had really bad mood swings and terrible ovulation pains for a couple of nights leading up to ovulation. I really wondered if my ovary was going to burst (it didn't! lol) I took a couple months off, lost a little more weight & have started my 2nd clomid cycle. So far just a little more emotional and noticing more cramps already.

Good luck & hope it does the trick for you!

Thanks for telling me your experience I'm sure I will be one with bad mood swings as I can already have them I'll have to warn my husband about the mood swings. Good to know about the ovulation pains as well to expect something.

So are you taking Clomid right now too? If so Good luck to you too! I hope it doe the trick for you as well!

Congratulations! It must feel good to be starting. I took mine at night and didn't have any problems with it at all. I was crampy throughout the cycle, but it wasn't a big deal. Are you doing ultrasounds to check for developed follicles? They really should give us a flow chart of what to do, but they never do. Maybe I'll develop one! I recommend pre-seed, as some ladies complain that they are slightly dry down there on clomid.

Thanks! It does feel good to be starting more aggresive Treatment. Ok that's good to hear that not everyone has the extreem ovulation pains. My DR doesn't think I need to do anything more unless the Clomid doesn't work. I am thinking though that because my insurance should cover seeing more of a specialist that if it doesn't work after a few cycles I'm going to go in and see a specialist and do more. I am goign to be diligent about charting my temp durin this time. We do have some Pre-seed so it's good to know that I might find some dryness and may need to use it more often.

    Thanks!

Last month was my first cycle on clomid. I had dizziness for about an hour after I took it every day. I had an extreme acne break out on my face also. I never had acne as a teen and not often as an adult. So I don't know if it was coincident or from the meds. Didn't really experience BAD cramps (more like discomfort) but I usually don't have cramps. I am waiting to start the 2nd cycle with double the dosage from 50 to 100.

I finished taking clomid about a week ago and had no side effects while on it. I did have a couple days of bloating right after, but other than that nothing at all. I am hoping that this is not a sign I am not ovulating, but I am just lucky. :)

I did not have any bad side effects and used for both pregnancies. I did do I think around 6 mos each time before getting pregnant. I had a set of twins in my first pregnancy, and then had a set of triplets. They did very early ultrasounds on me as well.
