So, we have 2 open topics, which is a good start, but I want to ask you, the public, what topics you would like to see that is going to help YOU out. I have even thought about opening a topic, just to let people vent out, and help them feel better through that, but I am pretty sure that every topic we cover will be going public due to it being a public group, so probably not a great idea. I leave you the option of PMing me with your frustrations if it makes you feel better, because swear mail makes me laugh anyways! Also, feel free to PM me if you have any other questions, concerns, or you want a topic to be "Anonymous." I won't state who's idea the topic was "unless you want me to." so that you can have your privacy, and maybe some questions answered. Alright! The floor is open! Shoot your ideas!

Its really nice to hear about other people struggling with it, well not good someone has to struggle with it but knowing others are out there makes me feel a bit less crazy LOL and reading the stuff that has been posted I can relate to alot of that. I have no one around me in my real life that is suffering from any of this that I know of at least and I do feel like I'm treated as if I'm a bit off at times from family and friends. Its frustrating.0

Anxiety, panic, and depression need to be treated as actual medical conditions, which they are. I am happy to be on medication the rest of my entire life if it helps my anxiety and depression, and helps me to be the person I know I can be. My question to those willing to answer is: if you have taken medicine and are weaning off of it or quitting cold turkey (with your doctor's approval, of course), why did you decide to go off medication? I'm not judging, just sincerely curious. I know some people don't like the chemicals and unnatural items in their bodies, and I'm just curious about reasons if you're willing to share.
I personally, get anxious just thinking about not being on medication. I know it's not for everyone, but there are so many different meds out there that if one doesn't work for someone, there are other options. I'm interested to see what people's beliefs are.0 -

With me, I seem to always get some adverse effect and its not just anxiety meds but alot of meds in general, and then causes me more anxiety since I think something bad is going to happen to me. I get things like chill feelings, extreme nausea where it feels like I'm literally being turned inside out, gasping for air, etc.
A med I took once for another problem (nothing with anxiety) my muscles started to cramp bad and another time had my muscles contract on me oddly. I'm just sensitive to medication, I would never recommend to anyone to go off their meds but I have to do what is right for me. I'm actually pro meds since I know I'm a minority case overall.0 -

I was on meds 5 years ago, before I discharged from the army. After I got home, my anxiety went away for a while, then came back hardcore. Now, I just need to get to the doctor to get back on medicine, or at least get my lorazepam back so I have something to take as needed. Medicine can make all the difference in the world if you find something that is right for you. Lorazepam did exactly what I needed it too. Sometimes, too well. I was half tempted to try to break my pills in 2, because they would make me feel drunk, and it was hard to function normally when I had to take them. As a stay at home father, I need to be able to function, and take care of my children. To make a long story short, if you find something that works for you, don't try to force yourself off the medicine, because anxiety can, and likely will come back, leaving you worse off than before.0 -
I wouldn't mind if there was a topic devoted to Sleep. I have a hard time falling asleep, and once asleep I have anxious dreams. I also feel very lethargic or sleepy throughout my day. Which makes it difficult to be energized or motivated about anything. I would love to hear about what others do to help them sleep.0

One more question i have is: Is there anyone else out there that has chronic neck/back pain. And chronic muscle tension. I seriously do not know how to relax.0
-
I do. I've really tried to start doing stretching exercise....through the pain.
My shoulders and neck are the worst....they ache constantly......
I'm been trying to do relaxation of body parts......still working on it.
I'm thing message therapy may help or perhaps acupuncture....cause the pain is consistent and constant.0
