Hey everyone! I just started a whole 30 challenge that is a little less strict...allowing 2 oz. cheese/day (feta). I did this about 8 months ago with great results and have since REALLY fallen off the "wagon" with unhealthy eating (which is why I am getting back on track). I'm drinking tons of water! BUT My stomach is WRECKED!! WHY?! Is it the huge change for my body or something else? Thanks :)

I have been Paleo since last Monday. I went cold turkey for the most part except for some cheese and ranch dressing. My stomach has been messed up, its getting better now but all week last week I had stomach issues.

I don't know if this would apply to you or not...just troubleshooting...I haven't been drinking coffee for a while, and just had an iced coffee yesterday afternoon and my stomach was not happy. I know that I've had reactions to caffeine in coffee in the past when I was anxious or stressed, but this time I think it was because I've been avoiding caffeine as much as possible (minus dark chocolate  ). Looking through your diary I noticed the coffee each morning, and also a bit more dairy than just the feta....perhaps you're sensitive to it? Also, I have no knowledge of protein powders, but I figure if anything is a powder then it's not exactly "whole"...maybe you're sensitive to the sweetener in it?

Hope it all clears up soon!!!

I found change of diet can mess up your tummy for sure, I started align probiotic and never felt better ....but give it some time for sure, your body needs to get adjusted, it does get better!!

I went from a lowfat diet to primal/lowcarb high fat and blew my IBS wayyy outa control. I've gone back to a lowfat diet, while still trying to keep some principles of the primal lifestyle, but not all of them. It was far too animal products/meats/fats based for me. I now do more plants-based (very clean, not a processed refined pre-packaged grains type of plants diet) and am feeling much better. No cookie-cutter perfect diet for everyone. So just think about what you added in that might not agree with you and modify the lifestyle to meet your needs.
