Stress fracture?

I do wonder if I might have a stress fracture in the outermost bone of my foot, but it only hurts with a sharp pain when my foot is massaged/pressed/twisted while holding behind my little toe. It does not bother me running. I actually think I had it (whatever it is) before I even started. I just hope it doesn't turn into something worse. I wish I knew what to do for it.

Can you have it checked? The best thing would be to know for sure so you can do something against it.
Maybe it is just an orthopedic issue that could be solved with other shoes, insoles or a bandage?
Strange you had it before your running.

    Hope it gets better soon!

Sounds more like a ligament or something to me, but you might want to check with somebody who actually knows something about this.

You are right. I should have a doctor check it before it becomes something bigger. I would hate to find out if I had just done"such and so" it wouldn't have been a problem, but because I ignored it it became something bigger.

My whole left side is a problem. Foot, knee, veins and I get dizzy and lean toward that side on occasion. I'm actually considering seeing a chiropractor. I'm pretty sure that I'm uneven. I have been to a chiropractor before for back issues, but never for longer than a few weeks at a time for three different "incidents" since I was 20. Maybe it's time to get straightened out once and for all. I don't want anything to interfere with my running.

I suppose for the foot an orthopedist (sp) makes the most sense.

Chiropractic is one option. I can also recommend a naprapat treatment where they stretch you out slowly. I had it done twice, it is a bit more gentle and brings fantastic results. Often it is combined with acupuncture. But only if you can have the slow stretching, some people get nauseous from it.

I have never heard of naprapat. It sounds interesting. At least the stretching does. The needles maybe not so much! My mother-in-law is going to try acupuncture for her arthritis. I am interested to hear how that goes for her.

You can check out the site and see if you can find someone near you. It doesn´t have to be with acupuncture.

    Good luck!

I wonder if you are weak in the hip muscles on that side and that's throwing you off. You might want to reach out to a physical therapist, if you can.
