Motivation and disapointments...

Hi all!
I was all motivated to get and walk today... All ready, it started to rain and it is really cold... No indoor place to walk.. No mall, or gym close at all... I live in rural NE. Oregon. Lots of outdoor to walk in when the weather is playing nice...
Oh, well... I will try to get the Wii working...
How is everyone doing today?
Lisa

Have you checked out Leslie Sansone's walking dvd's?
They are a great way to get in a walk for days the weather sucks, Walmart sells them or you can just get them free off of youtube.
Here's the youtube links:

2 miles - http://youtu.be/oBgB_cqDiXs
3 miles - http://youtu.be/xRScb2l4Z4g
4 miles - http://youtu.be/CoN_rvyeG0Y (This one has some jogging in it and is slightly a faster paced video than the other ones)
5 miles - http://youtu.be/ZEEOSE5dBo4 (This one has some jogging in it at the end of each mile)0 -
Wow!

If you figure out how to get the wii working, I enjoy putting it on the free run as it tends to tell you if you're keeping a basic pace, and then swapping to something on TV for a half hour to an hour.
I've also been playing around with some apps on my smartphone for pedometers (ex the runtastic apps), but also one that offers more voice prompts for indoors.
I hear you on the living in the middle of nowhere and there not really being indoor places to walk. For me, joining a gym has made a huge difference, but I still need indoor stuff for rainy weekends.0 -
