Low carb and 1200 cals per day

I have lost 6.5 lbs since 5/3/2013 and some days my counts on calories and carbs are a tad higher. I had hit a plateau and am glad something is working. Since I started tracking calories instead of just tracking carbs, I realize how high my calories must have been! I would not have been shocked to learn that they were close to 3000 per day! I do around 30-40 grams of carbs daily and now have finally broken the 150 mark! Love MFP!

  • Funny you should mention that. It's taken me years of going low carb then low calories, then low carb, then low calories. Finally, I understand that i will never be able to eat "anything I want" even if it is low-carb. Calories do count. So does what you eat. And, the balance between the two are different in every person.

    Glad something is finally working for you. BTW< How jealous does it make you to see others polishing off a pizza followed by a banana split without gaining a pound? I feel like I am surrounded by those types, LOL!!!:explode:

    You are ssooooo right when you say, we cannot eat whatever we want, ever again. That is, if we want to look and feel good!:smooched:
