Weight Fluctuation

How much does your weight fluctuate from day to day?
I know that people say it can be a few pounds, but being in the weight range we are, is it more? My weight can literally change up to ten pounds almost overnight...
Is this normal?

On any given day from morning to night I gain 3-5lbs in food & water, but by morning it's gone. Any time I eat something outside of my current calorie range (high or low) I easily gain/lose 10lbs overnight.0

If I believe my scale, I can gain/lose up to 10 pounds in as little as 2 minutes. Of course it is really just because my house has old floors and if I move the scale I can get a very different reading. Keeping everything constant - I can gain or lose 3-5 pounds. That's why I weigh daily but log it weekly.0

I haven't weighed myself that frequently, but I have recently gone up and down about 5 lbs. I supposed it depends on your circumstances, like how much sodium you have consumed - I think that's what sent me up the 5 lbs in the one week.0

usually around 2 lbs but i have noticed when i have a week with vigorous working out and hiking i stall and gain 2 lbs but then i take it slow the next week and drop around 6 lbs so its mostly water retention from the muscles0

I seem to be going through this trend of dropping two, gaining one back the next day... staying the same for a few days and repeating.
I generally weigh myself every day, but I do my best to always have the scale in the same place (same bathroom tile and roughly the same position). I tend to wake up, go pee and then hop on the scale (since that means I'm naked). Saturday's my official weekly weigh in for a group I'm part of so that's when I assess how I've done overall for the week.0 -
My record for water weight retention was 12 lbs. I blame hormones and my monthly salt cravings.0
