Hello,
My name is Crystal and I'm 35 years. I had gastric bypass on 04/08/2013. I was 278 the day of surgery and now i'm 247. I'm having a hard time with getting enough protein. I have not lost anymore weight. The scale is not moving anymore and it has been a couple of weeks. I just started to exercise( just walking for about a mile a day). Is there anybody out there having the same problem.

I've had frequent "stalls" since my surgery on 9/27/12. At about 6 months out my weight loss changed to about 1 lb a month and I get about 60-70 grams of protein every day, drink 64-80 oz. of water a day and do both cardio and strength training. I have been told this is normal. Tips for getting that protein: try Isopure low carb, high protein drinks (they look like Kool Aid) or add in an extra protein shake. I love Bariatric Advantage shakes, especially mixed with Unsweetened Silk Vanilla Almond Milk. Also, try adding in nuts, Greek yogurt (I do nonfat, sugar free.) Can try low fat cheeses, lean lunch meats, turkey bacon, low sodium too. Cottage cheese is great. Fish is an awesome source of protein, goes down really easy too. Sometimes you will find that you are losing inches while the weight is stalled. Keep a check on those measurements. Hang in there...you'll see progress soon!0

Thank you!! I will add that stuff to my protein list. I notice the more I workout the better I feel. I can tell in my clothes i'm losing but the scale is not on board. LOL0
