I know we are all pretty spread out across the state and not everybody can venture to parts unknown for a meetup, but I'm located rather centrally in Plainville (pretty much an hour from almost everywhere) so I wanted to offer to plan a meetup day this summer!

There's a park here in town called Norton Park that has a great picnic space/pavilion, a playground for the kids, basketball and tennis courts and a skate park. Dogs on a leash are welcome as well. There is a great walking path around the park with mile markers, too! (The pool, sadly, is open to residents only.)

Would folks be interested in a potluck-style picnic? Bring your healthy dishes to share? I am thinking Saturday, Aug 3rd at noon. If there's enough interest in using one of the grills, I can obtain a permit for that from Parks & Rec.
