Anyone doing Kundalini? I am not new to yoga but I am new to making it a daily practice with either
a session at home with meditation or a weekly class, I also practice vinyasa, hatha yoga, I not really seeing much
difference except that some raises the heart rate more than others. I enjoy then all, however, I am drawn to kundalini a little more, I feel more of a body spirit connection, and the practice makes me work a little harder.

Without a Guru/Teacher Kundalini should not be practice,0

I used to do a a fair amount of Kundalini, I really enjoyed it and I definitely enjoy workouts of the body/mind connection type. Now I go to a studio that blends yoga with inspirations from Buddhism and Buddhist meditation (in a very secular way, similar to Kundalini), and that does it for me too.0

How often do you practice, and do you add any other activity to your regimen? I would like to add strength training.0

Hi - I don't do Kundalini; my practice is vinyasa and the cless I've just started is Sivananda. But I have started strength training this month, so am learning what it feels like to integrate something my body isn't used too. I do weights twice a week, and the first week I was too sore to do anything but stretch on my mat (tentatively). Now I'm back to a 6 day routine, picking a gentler flow the day after lifting, then picking it up again. This week I did a weights session one morning and a class in the evening that included some really dynamic stretching and holds, and think my arms are recovering more swiftly as a result, so the two things are starting to complement each other. When you do free weights, you get to work on your balance and core muscles and I think that's helping too. I feel solid and more strong after 4 weeks, and I recover very quickly now.

I love Kundalini yoga! I am a yoga alliance registered yoga teacher and am not specifically registered in Kundalini, but my teacher trainer is and I learned about it throughout my training. I incorporate a little of it into all my classes and love it. I teach 6 classes a week and all have some Kundalini in it. Other than that, I walk my dogs quite a bit.0
