Ran my first 5K today!

It was AWESOME! So, I should add, I'm 5'4 and about 160, and today's run was W3D3 and I've never run before, ever, in my life. So I wasn't expecting any blazing time. My husband also did the race with me and he's on W2D3, but he's a former Marine. Everyone at the race was very supportive and we got lots of praise and good jobs. My 4yo son was with us in the jogging stroller and he loved it and kept telling us when to walk and run. We did it in 47:52 and I was thrilled - I just wanted to make under an hour.

But I do want to say - even if you aren't done with the program - sign up for a low-key local fun run. It was very inspiring and now I completely want to finish the program because I want to be able to run the whole distance next time. Oh, and it's also fun because of how many people you see who are clearly doing C25K out on the course.

Congratulations! Delighted for you. I do admire people who jog with a baby/child/children in a stroller, I can't imagine doing it.

Great job!! I am on week 5 but on the treadmill, I haven't been able to run outside yet, its a lot harder on my joints. As soon as I can I'm going to sign up for a 5k as well. It seems like a lot of fun.

Great job! How fun for you. And way to show that this program will help you complete a 5k no matter how slow you currently are.

Congratulations! I finished C25K in January and have been keeping up with running about three times per week. I just ran my second 5K and took 4 minutes off of my previous 'record' that I set three months ago.

It's fun to hear that times go down if you keep going. I'm looking forward to the first one where I can run the whole thing!
