“Thy will be done.” What a comfort those four little words are to my soul. I have repeated them until they are softened to the sweetest harmony. We are in darkness, and must be thankful that our knowledge is not needed to perfect thy work. —St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

I reposted this to my FB account, and it was exactly what a relative needed to hear. She is my nephew's wife. They have 2 children, aged 2 and 1. She is waiting for results from a thyroid biopsy. Please say a prayer for her.

Holy Spirit, come into our hearts and teach us how to pray. All glory, and honour, and praise to Our Lord Jesus Christ. You have heard the pleas of your faithful servant. We come together and ask for the healing of any thyroid issues of Orapronobis's nephew's wife. We ask that You pour Your precious blood in every artery, nerve, cell, organ of this woman and completely heal her for your glory, honour and praise. We thank you Lord and we praise You.

Below is the Miracle Prayer. On Jan 31 of this year (2013), I posted the Miracle Prayer on my facebook page. I posted it on facebook because I had been diagnosed with a condition in June 2012. The next evening (Feb 1), my brother was over and he asked me to look for something upstairs (I live in my mom's house, she is in heaven now). So I was upstairs and just before I started looking for the item he was asking for, I noticed a folded up paper on the edge of a filing cabinet and I could not believe what I was reading. My mother had hand-written the Miracle Prayer. And then I saw the specialist on March 18 of this year and he cannot understand how my stats are improving (I could not keep the smile off my face and I just said "I know how." lol)

    Anyways, here's the prayer:

    The Miracle Prayer
Lord Jesus, I come before You, just as I am. I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In Your name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give You my entire self. Lord Jesus, now and forever, I invite you into my life.

Jesus, I accept You as my Lord, God and Savior. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit.

Come Lord Jesus, cover me with Your Precious Blood, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit, I love You Jesus. I praise You Jesus, I thank You Jesus. I shall follow You every day of my life. Amen.

Mary, My Mother, Queen of Peace, all you Angels and Saints, please help me. Amen.

Say this prayer faithfully, no matter how you feel. When you come to the point where you sincerely mean each word with all your heart, something good spiritually will happen to you. You will experience Jesus and He will change your whole life in a very special way. You will see.

(that is how I got my MFP name btw) - God Bless :)

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve,
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked God for health, that I might do greater things,
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.

I asked for riches, that I might be happy,
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.

I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men,
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life,
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for
    - but everything I had hoped for.

Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among men, most richly blessed.

Snowmoon, I guess the following goes hand in hand with your post above.

Humility is the foundation of all the other virtues: hence, in the soul in which this virtue does not exist there cannot be any other virtue except in mere appearance. Augustine of Hippo

This was part of Father's homily this morning. He tied in St. Frances' advice about not being in a hurry and doing all things calmly.

Then he told about a study of seminarians who were asked to prepare a short talk on why they wanted to be priests. Half were told that they were late and to go over to another building to give their talk. The other half were told they had extra time, but to go ahead and head over to the other building anyway. In between the buildings, the authors of the study had stationed a man, slumped over, moaning, etc. Only 10% of the seminarians who were told that they were late stopped to help the man. 73% of those not in a hurry stopped to help him.

He said that haste isn't from Satan, it is Satan, and then closed with this old Irish proverb:

"God made time. Man made haste."
