Goooooooood morning everyone! I'm feeling good this morning. I got a lot accomplished yesterday. I paid bills, balanced checkbooks, made dinner, did some laundry, had a successful group meeting, stayed under my calories and I exercised to the point where my arms hurt this morning. I did the 3/20 challenge but I've got to admit I cheated on the push ups. I decided to save those for last since I knew they'd be the hardest for me. By the time I got to them my arms were really tired so instead of doing my normal girly push ups, I did wall push ups. You know, when you put your feet as far away from the wall as you can so you're at an angle to the wall? Yeah, I did my 20 push ups that way. :embarassed: Don't judge me. It was still difficult for me. So if 20 push ups is difficult for you too, try the wall push ups. It's still a good workout for your arms. How did you like this week's challenge?

Today I plan to stay under my calories and do 1 set of 3/20's. Other than that I'm going to take it easy today.

welp, ive done terrible the past few days. :/ I cannot get back on the wagon. I do it for 3 days and then I'm done.

Ugh.. Well here goes nothing. Plan today is to get in some blogilates, burn calories waitressing and stay within my calories. Not sure about the 3/20 thing. I get more out of blogilates it seems. My muscles still ache from doing them the other day lol.

    Good Morning

Sounds like you had a great day Diana. Wall push ups are great some days I make a challenge with myself of every time I get up I have to do 10 of them.

I've had a great beginning of the week, reached my goal of doing 30 miles on the bike in a morning. That was after doing my 30 Day Shred. Now I need to find some energy to finish cleaning the house, think with all this exercise hubby should get me a maid LOL

Gina you might do better raising your calories to 1350 - 1400. With your waitressing, and other exercise you are burning a lot of calories. I know on my high burn days I need to eat more. My calories vary from 1200 - 1600, and I've been losing steadily. You need to find what works best for you.

Hi All! I've been AWOL a couple days, so getting caught up. This weekend was not good for my eating, and yesterday started ok but I crashed and burned at dinner. My inner brat was whiny and I caved - extra wine, potato chips, AND dessert. I ate the equivalent of my whole day's calories at dinner. :noway:

Today was the most lame workout I've had in long time - 30 minutes on the treadmill, no high-intensity intervals, no incline, just walking. However, since I that same inner brat was REALLY pushing for 30 more minutes on the alarm snooze, I still consider it a victory. My goal for the rest of the day is to just stay within my calories.

Diana - sorry to hear about the Honeymoon Island fiasco. Jen - good to see you back! I was concerned. Way to go on your cycling goal!

Oh you can't get rid of me that easily :) I was taking care of my mom she had surgery and then we had to wait for the biopsy results which came back clear so, last week was real stressful. But much better this week.

Hey you beat the inner brat this morning getting up and doing a workout. It may not have been as intense as you normally do, but its better then if you had stayed in bed!!

Hi Well back on the wagon since the weekend; know I need to plan the weekends better as that is when it all falls apart.
have a few things coming up that is incentive for me as a couple of kilos makes all the difference to my wardrobe range!
using the children as my champions not seeming to help - have to remind them so ultimately is down to me - is always my choice about what I put in my mouth.

Tempting to give up on the group as it hasn't gone so well and I have been off and on - but keeping tuned in may just help stop a prolonged blow out that will be harder to come back from.

Gradually accepting that this is a lifelong challenge for me re food; not obvious to others but the extra five or so kilos has mattered to me for years and taken up far more of my headspace and emotional energy than it warrants

but I'm not giving up as I know that I can do it, I have done it before in terms of making better choices for me - short term benefits of treats has much more negative long term consequences in terms of guilt and throwing me all off balance - it is playing the long game and committing to what I know works - planning and re committing multiple times a day.
