Barbara, the car repairs are making me cringe...radiators, clip and hoses, oh my!! Last night I did a 12 hour shift in my milkin' shoes and I have to say that I don't have a lot of pain today. I had to go to Schuler Shoes where all the old people go and I wanted to die. Shoe shopper with the elderly and maimed is not considered a good time to be had.

Kate, it's amazing that a simple walk in the summer can build up such a thirst for the cold, de-lish-ish-ness of a beer. I wish water had the same effect.

Ashley, good to know that hubs enzymes are better. Margarita in the hot tub sounds good too!!

Robin, maybe consider getting on some BP meds. It sucks - but, it's better than a stroke. I have no willpower and hubs doesn't help the situation either. I told him that I can't drink for 2 weeks because of the high Ibuprofen use for the foot. So, every night, he's either stressed or happy about something - and - we all know that means drinking.

Day 2 - no booze - had trouble falling asleep and had to resort to the trazodone

OK, off to the garden and some exercise today - days off are the best

Thanks for the tips ladies. I don't drink soda...except as a mixer to my cocktails lol. And I don't smoke anymore...quit about 7 years ago. We'll see what the blood test says about my Vitamin D. You'd think with all the sun we get here in San Diego and the supplements I take..that it would be normal.

I got into the vodka/pom last night. I think I'm due for a 0 tonight.

Happy Birthday to your husband Syd!!!

So I have to say I am a bit embarrassed about last night.....Lenny and I went for our walk and the whole time we kept talking about wanting a cocktail, so we turned around at the 1mile mark walked home, grabbed a vodka and sprite zero then walked to the liquor store then wawa for some Ben and Jerry's Liz Lemon (lemon frozen greek yogurt with blueberries=awesome). I mean we still got 4miles in BUT I don't feel like it was a proper workout :ohwell:
So last nights total was 2oz of vodka with sprite zero, then 3oz of peach vodka and sprite zero.
Tonight, maybe be margaritas. Not sure yet. Part of me is tempted to go out for happy hour??!!!

I hear ya Kate. My 0 did not happen last night. Granted I had 2, but still....

Most of a wheat beer minus what I put in my sauce. Then a cucumber vodka with Sprite zero. Have you all had the cucumber?! It's my FAVORITE!

    We'll see about tonight.

    Vodka and grapefruit.

So my "buffer boss" was sent on special assignment so the b wants HR to put me back under her again. Really? So nothing, absolutely nothing has been done since I filed my complaint and I am reporting to her again. I will be drinking tonight to wash away the pain and frustration.

On a lighter note I may have an interview Monday for a job I networked my way into.

OoOoOoO, look at all the zeros Kat has racked up....well done

Syd, yes, I am sure drinks will be had with hub's celebration - remember, the glass you had last night was a healthy measurement by medical standards

Kate - sounds like a lovely night to me.

Robin, just keep pluggin' along - you'll get there

    I'll be going for 4 0's tonight...

Thanks ladies =] I have to say finally having some 0's feels great. On the days I've had them I didn't even have the urge to have a drink so it's been easy. I've also been downing water like nobody's business and I've gotten my hour on the bike in each day so far  Husband wants to have a date night tomorrow since we haven't in a few weeks so there will be drinks but hey three 0's is better than none! Next week I'll shoot for 0's Monday through Thursday leaving Friday, Saturday and Sunday as fair game.

    Quiet thread tonight.

So today is the 11th anniversary of my Gramp's passing and I'm so wanting to have a glass of wine or scotch in his honor

Edit: decided to have some wine while listening to jazz and thinking of all the amazing memories I have of my Gramp

I'll join in! I've lost both my parents. It sucks.
however...we had a great bday with the husband, son, mil and a ton of others at Karl Srauss. Damn what a happy hour they have at that place! and the the waiter messed up my wine drink so he brought husband several beers for free and a vodka/cran for me. A good night was had by all. I wish I could describe the free beer husband got...some oatmeal maple dark looking thing.

3ish glasses of sauvignon blanc last night. Maybe I'll get some 0's next week. I think I'm on a streak of 11 non-0's in a row. So much easier to drink everyday than NOT drink.... :ohwell:

Thanks all and here's to your mother in law Ryze! :flowerforyou:

It was a great day, first year I didn't cry and that's because it's not so sad anymore. It was beautiful here yesterday and if Gramp was still with us we probably would have been out in his garden  I just felt happy all day and now it's more about the great memories and having had him as my dad since he and my Gram pretty much raised me  My Gram is still kicking, you would never know she's going to be 90 this year, doesn't look it at all or act it

Another gorgeous day today that will be spent relaxing until work out time then date night!

Well, I can thank my husband for the decrease in my wine consumption. Lately he has been enjoying a bottle with me so instead of 5 glasses I get 2.5 glasses. And I raised them for all the loved ones we have lost. My grandmother didn't go until she was 105. She was one tough old grandma. I lost my mom 6 years ago and it is still tough.

    HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!

I will be celebrating the end of the week. Next week I will be out of the office for three days of training. So yay! no crotchity b to deal with.

    Keep on Lushin' my friends.

I did my second day of the C25K. The foot is actually doing OK so I might try another day today. I did it on the way to the ball game last night and then on the way home. On my way home, the storms were coming in and then the tornado sirens were going off. I was about 15 minutes from home and getting pretty nervous. Luckily, some lady pulled over and gave me a ride home with my also very wet dog. CRAZY!! All our ball games were cancelled today since the fields are under water.

We lost power last night and had to light bunches of candles. I played a dice game with my son and he loved it. Also, have water coming thru my roof as well which really, really upsets me. Bad, bad storms.

Now, since the ball games are cancelled - maybe, go to Wild Bills for some Bingo, specials & sunshine.

Friday, 3, I poured vodka and counted to 4 for 3 drinks and didn't even finish the last one. I was exhausted.

I just bought 6 disposable flasks that hold 7.5 oz of booze each from Groupon - I should be set for any future liquor smuggling needs and I can't wait to use them.

goose martini was the drink I pampered myself with last night. so enjoyable.
