Weight Loss Buddy?

I'm 42 years old and about 310 pounds. I'm tired of having my weight define who I am - not to mention pending health considerations - and I need to get it off. I'm looking for someone to be a weight loss buddy - for mutual support and accountability. I live alone and don't do a weekly weigh-in anywhere and I think what I'm lacking is that weekly accountability to the public scale.
I'm looking for someone who is willing to be tough and not let me give up - and vice-versa - and who is in it for the long haul. No giving up and no giving in. Presently, I'm eating a low carb diet so that shared interested would also be helpful. I was thinking of a once a week check-in but if you want to touch base on a daily basis, that's ok too....but maybe one day for an "official" weigh in (Mondays?).
Any takers???

Hi,
I'm in it for the long haul too. Feel free to add me. I have 3 real life friends who are also using mfp and we walk together once a week. We are no judgement, motivation and accountability partners on this journey. I'm still figuring out what way of eating is best for me. I'm focussing on smaller portions and limiting bread and pasta at this point.0 -

I've been here for just over 3 months now and am definitely in it for the long haul, I've come to far to go back now. I'm also low carb (except for today I've been good all week so we are making homemade pizza), and am a frequent commenter/diary checker! Anyone can feel free to add me.0
