Averaging about 900cal on Cycle 1. Is that ok?

I'm only averaging about 900 calories on Cycle 1. Is that acceptable? I don't want my body to go into starvation mode. Although, I'm really not hungry...

I'm glad you asked this because I'm having the same issue. I never thought I'd be one to whine about having too many calories left over, but on this plan I really am struggling. I feel like I am cooking veggies around the clock and gorging myself on them and chicken or tuna... but every day (I'm on C1D5) I'm falling short of my 1200-1300 calorie goal. I'm really worried that it is conter-productive to be eating so few calories but I'm not sure where to add in more... I'm down 4 lbs which rocks but I don't want it to be bc of starvation.0

I didn't track my calories while doing the 17 day diet....but I do a modified phase 2 now and with my fruit, veggies and meat I do not have an issue getting over 1200 most days. Now mind you with my exercise I sometimes struggle..but that is when I have a "treat" or have a glass of wine etc.
This diet when followed without worrying about calories etc works. Just make sure you are not hungry and drink lots of water andyou will be fine. I would worry more about the calories on Phase 2 and beyond, esp when you increase your exercise.0 -

Right! I'm on C1D8 and I've lost 9lbs. But I haven't lost as quick as I did the week I started. Not sure if that's b/c my body is "starving" or what? I'm not hungry AT ALL on this diet and ALL my cravings are gone (YAY!), but I'm not sure what's going on inside there. And, like you, I'm trying to add calories, but veggies are so low in calories it's hard haha! Congrats on your WL0 -
