Due to an upcoming holiday I can't eat meat (meat or foul) for 9 days! Any suggestions other then fish, eggs and maybe a little tempeh? I have only been doing this lifestyle a few weeks and would hate to gain back the weight I lost and feel uck.

I'd skip the tempeh since it is soy-based, and stick with the fish/seafood and eggs.
Honestly, I might just up the fat then (nuts, avocados, coconut), and try a ketogenic diet with lower protein, if you get tired of the fish & eggs.0 -
Mark Sisson (Primal Blueprint) is on board with tempeh. He had a blog post about it somewhere if you want to google it. Something to do with it being fermented I think, makes it different than consuming soy milk, etc.0

7. Tempeh
Here’s where soy gets healthy (finally!). Fermented soy products are rich in isoflavones, which are excellent for the heart and may even prevent cancer. The good news is that you can find fermented soy milk and tofu if you look for it (and grocery stores will often start carrying it if you just ask). Tempeh is a chewy, nutty, meaty type of soy product that is loaded with isoflavones, so I do recommend this. I think it’s a lot tastier than tofu, too.

The tempeh I see at Whole Foods has rice in it. I wonder if that is still ok? Does anyone know of one without?0

If you can find organic tempeh, then it can be OK. If it isn't organic then it is made with genetically modified soy and therefore a no-no. Adding rice to it may be OK from a vegetarian standpoint, but not from a paleo/primal one.0
