Anyone else considering this race on July 26th?

I ran my first one mile race in January (indoor track meet) and had a lot of fun!

This street race is only $15 in advance, is USATF certified and includes a free tech shirt!

I am told runners of all ability levels will be present, so it does not matter how fast or slow you are!

Most of my focus recently has been on increasing my endurance in preparation for my first marathon this fall. I think this will be a fun change of pace. If anyone living in the western suburbs would like to meet at a local track to practice the one mile racing distance let me know!

Sorry for my mistake above. The date of the race is July 10th not July 26th!

Am I the only one here who is running this Wednesday night?

This is the perfect race for all ability levels. Whether you are brand new to running and currently doing Couch to 5K (C25K) or an experienced marathoner.

It should be fun and for $20 the race includes chip timing and a short sleeve technical shirt!

There is also a family package for those those who have a spouse and or kids who run as well.

    See you on Wednesday!

Sounds fun, but that's an impossible time for me. Who can get somewhere at 6:30 on a weeknight? Not me, unfortunately.

I'd like to get more involved with runs, especially smaller ones like these, but I haven't even come close to learning 'how' to run. I flail...a lot. XD

    Have fun!
