Hello!
On Tuesday I will make a chart of the results you all post this week, highlighting both the weekly winner (woo!) and the current cumulative winner (woo woo! weight loss is long term, y'all) I will post the charts in this forum.
Remember to post on Monday so that I have your data to compete for the coveted weekly winner award.

Self Care:
Monday Had a steroid injection into injury site - Ate lunch out on way home. Under orders not to walk for next 24 hours
Tuesday: Resting as per orders - Friends staying overnight
Wednes: Water aerobics/physiotherapy
Thursday: Appointment with Physiotherapist and ordinary exercises given - Girlfriend and her 2 children overnight stay.
Friday: Shopping (clothes on Sale.. yah - $$ saved and clothes that fit and a couple of items as incentive
Saturday: Nana Nap between night shifts
Sunday: Rest, read book and nana nap between night shifts..
Hope you can understand all of this.. Not as good as I hoped with the sugary snacks (which would account for the maintaining of weight this week)

Mon: woke up without alarm, took my sweet time in the shower to shave my legs.
Tues: 7th day in a row of doing all 30-45 min. of physical therapy for my knee.
Wed: spent two hours in genealogy and family genetics!
Thurs: went out on the spur of the moment driving to find fireworks even though we were not planning on going
Fri: went on lazy river multiple times at the water park (even though my nephew says it is "boooooring!")
Sat: climbed dragon at park, did bumper cars, went swinging...and lots of other stuff including putting together the coffee table that was my reward for loosing 20% of my body weight!)
Sunday: took a three hour nap (post 6.5 year old nephew's visit)0 -

[Note to Elizabeth: I am going by the weight gained from the day I got the new scale (July 3) to this morning (July 8).]
A moment for reflection: Do I feel bad about my "weight gain"? Not a shred! I am retaining water as I approach the start of my period and I ate like a little hog this week thanks to the holiday. What do I feel GREAT about? I am sleeping better, my skin is beautifully clear, and I exercised regularly this week. My favorite self-care activity this week, apart from running 4 miles with minimal walking, is that I took a sewing class last Tuesday and LOVED it. It was a blast!
My "additional self-care" this week included painting my toe nails, taking a beginning sewing class, finished reading a book, selected and started reading another book, and took a well-earned nap after Fourth of July indulgence.

My self care was dying my hair, getting a manicure (which I haven't done in forever), and raiding with my guild (yes, I play World of Warcraft).
I am not doing so well with this challenge yet, or in real life to be honest, but I'm going to keep checking in until I get it together.0 -

As promised, here is the running total (again - mad props to The Luv for making this all add without my doing a thing!).
I'm really enjoying the self-care ideas that are being posted. It gives me great ideas for myself too! I am seeing themes of being outside, books (buying and reading!), nail painting, and talking with friends. Some self-care ideas that stood out to me are WoW (hey-oooo, Jcramer!), sewing classes (subcontinent!), and long showers (motherofbride...it is still pretty funny to me that you and I were BOTH at the Mall of America on the same day this weekend AND we both practiced self-care of a long shower on the same day too!). Keep at it, Dreamermoth and you will need to go clothes shopping again VERY soon!
I'm also enjoying the reflections (Subcontinent and jcramer, I'm looking at you) and I'm jealous of SandraJN's veranda and gazebo action as well as Karengolf's unexpected boat ride!
Job well done, ladies! (I think we are all ladies....internet can confuse gender identity for me sometimes..especially with gener neutral usernames...please correct me if we have gentlemen in the challenge).
