I was hoping to learn from everyone on what works for them and what doesn't. I really want to keep motivated and thought this would be a way to do it. Please post often! The only request I have is no judgemental comments. Those forums can be ugly!

Hi my name is Sharon and I was trying to do the regular kind of eating plan watching the calories but NOTHING!! but water weight gain!! :frown:
so I had done low carb eating a few years ago and I did well till I started with a lil of this a lil of that then Whoooaaaaa Nellie was eating everything in sight and still feeling hungry all the time!! That is one BIG PLUS to the low carb lifestyle No hunger pangs to speak of after a few days, well except when it is time to refuel your body!! I have cleaned out the house of all things forbidden and working on a restock of all the good low carb choices!!
Now I am also wanting to keep my sodium low and that might be a lil tricky!! but I am gonna give it a good try!! Have bought Mrs. Dash seasonings and using more black pepper and garlic powder!! I am on a fixed income so all my spending has to be wise choices to make it thru the month!!
Want to keep finding new recipes that will be cost effective and interesting enough ya never get bored with the same old baked chicken breast or hamburger patty ......day in and day out!! lol Life is meant to be Spicy!!! :drinker:0 -
Oh Sharon, I LOVE me some spicy! That will be great to help each other come up with new and different ideas. The worst problem I can see it getting bored with it. I did this diet years ago with a lot of success too. Looking forward to your wonderful recipes0

I just completed day 3 of low carb/ high fat. Traditional diets/watching what I eat just does not work for me. Moderation is not in my vocabulary. I find it really hard to control my junk cravings, and actually broke down today and ate 2 peanut butter oat balls. That was disappointing, and I'm really hoping I gain better control. My goal is to stay under 30 carbs/daily. Eventually I want to add fruit, but for now trying to stay away from it. Looking forward to making friends and supporting each other. Also looking forward to the day when my sugar addiction fades a little, as of now, I would physically assault someone for a Mt Dew and a brownie.0
