Do you eat back your exercise calories?

I have tried it both ways and it seems I do better if I eat back at least most of the calories I burn through exercise. Just curious what everyone does and how it works for them.

Mostly I don't eat my calories back, although I do use it for some wiggle room so a lot of the time I do eat back a few calories, but generally not more than 40-50 per day. Now, when I plan for an occassion or event I may eat them all back and then some! LOL!

I also tried it both ways and when I had a 3 week plateau I stopped eating them back and I'm not sure if that's what made the difference or if my body was just ready to go again, but found I was able to stick to my daily goal of 1700 calories without eating them back.

I usually eat them back, I am only at 1200 a day, so when I burn 700 on a long run, I really need to eat more than 1200 to get my net at least to 1200... most days I will eat at least half of them back.
