Last week of the C25K!

Today I start the last week of the program. I remember being so afraid when the runs got extended to 5 minutes, and today I'm almost giddy with anticipation at running 25 minutes! I do have a question for all those that have completed this program. Once you completed it, what did you do afterwards? The running app that I'm using continues into training for a 10K. Should I just continue one with training for a 10k or should I stay at the 5k distance for awhile? My goal is to eventually run a half marathon, but I don't want to move along too quickly and risk injury. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Woo Hoo! Way to go!

    Basically any training program you start - whether it's improving your 5k race or going to the 10k distance - is going to do the same sorts of things. You will build up your weekly mileage and then start adding some speed work.

    Moving on to the 10k program is a great idea. Having a defined plan and a scheduled race is what about 75% of the running population needs to stay motivated.

    Thanks for the information. I think I'll move on to the 10K training. Shooting for a 10k sounds like great motivation to me!
