hi all! sitting here at the photoshoot in a dress & sandals.....at a school with athletic facilities--closed roads, track, etc. might've been perfect for running, if i'd thought, but idk if the production people wouldve liked that, since my son is the most, er how do i say..."energetic", and needs lots of "directing" from me..and everyone, sigh. anyway, its very hot today and TOM is being especially cruel. :-b

hope u all have a super day!

    good morning everyone

all ready for work, and have my lunch packed. We only get 1/2 hr for lunch so no worries about running out to "grab" something. My goal for today will be to get my butt out the door when I get home to run....before supper.

    Have a great day gals

Good day ladies! We finally got the needed rain in our area last night and it's continuing throughout the day. Our green babies are excited..lol...as well as the pup who loves getting soaked...lol.

Sherry - "sigh"....I can imagine those perfect running conditions were whispering your name. Hope your son has a great photo shoot today. Sorry about TOM being cruel to you. That is something I don't have to worry about any longer and don't miss it either.

Maureen - Smart thinking on your part to take lunch to work, plus, you can better control what you eat. Have a very good run later in the evening.

    Okay...here is my recap:

Mon - Week3/Day1 TUFF Upper Body done in 55 mins. Seems there is no way around doing this WO in less time with 3 sets per exercise to perform…lol. Not complaining but... The only exercise out of the eight completed that I can increase DB size next week is the Alternating Cobra Prone on Exercise Ball. It was definitely a "cardio moment" lifting weights today I made sure to eat carbs (grits) pre-workout and a whey protein smoothie post-workout, too. Feeling great!

Have a marvelous day and I'll read ya'll later....

Did cardio (walking/ squats) while watching recorded TV program (had to see how the superhero was fairing). Lot's of those nasty  fat cells have released their fat content as evidenced by the loose skin on the stomach. (It actually hangs down in a point when I do planks or push-ups). :embarassed: I choose to think positive (even with this 59 year old body) that it will tighten up as I keep exercising. Hence, the cardio this morning. I followed it with my upper body strength WO.

I used heavier wts for the Bench press. I just wish my stomach muscles would develop at a faster rate to allow for getting off the bench with the heavier wts easier.

I also managed to use a heavier wts for military press. However, I could feel my left shoulder, which is considerably weaker than the right, failing. (I been through frozen shoulder & the long recovery twice in my lifetime) I paused putting the weights down, then picked them up again to complete the set. It's a good thing we are building into our 2nd program exercises to help with issues like this.

Taking a few days off. Swimming was bad idea yesterday felt sick after. I can't seem to get totally over sinus stuff this summer. Lots of wind blowing things around.

I feel awful today but have to go to work. What I have isn't catching just just makes me tired.

Sorry to sound like bummer but that's my day!

Hope you feel better soon Marla. Be sure that you aren't stressing your body too much--that's always been my problem with lingering illnesses.

    :-)

Dropping back by to see who came in after me.

Marla, I sure hope you start feeling better and sinus stuff does zap one's energy. I wonder why it does that?

Liz, look at you! WTG on getting your run done and enjoy that double date!!

    Goodnight Pals!
