I am impressed by my 10 myear old daughter, she is not the fastest or the slowest but has been working on her own to perfect an IM in her age group. Sunday, I managed 40 laps while she bested me doing all the strokes while I cannot perfect the fly anymore, stuck to 3. I am getting back to swimming and love it as I always have.... I love the water but wish I looked better in a bathing suit. It is the thing that keeps me from swimming..... I am so glad my oldest loves swimming and we even got her 5 year old sister to try and swim with us. Granted she used her noodle she made it for 125 meters and then I swam while she held my feet for another 100 meters:)

Wow! You got a workout towing the little one! It's great that you have the family to swim with (and push you a little to keep up ::grins::) Hope your love of the water sticks with them forever. It's such a refreshing way to get your exercise!0

Don't let that stop you. I don't look great in my Speedo jammer, and there aren't a whole lot of people in the pool where I swim who like the way they look in a suit. Just get in there and swim. The more you do the happier you'll be with how you look in a suit.0 -
Please don't ever let the way you feel you look in a bathing suit stop you from swimming! I was closer to 400 than 300 when I started swimming and dropped into the 200's (with more to go) because I kept swimming. Nobody notices/cares how you look in a bathingsuit when you're doing your laps, I swear. What a great workout towing your little one. Good job!0

My daughter has been swimming with me -she's 9. It is such great encouragement to have her in the pool. She is not faster than me yet but getting closer recently- so I'll have to try harder.
Good for you getting back in the pool- Keep it up!0 -
Thanks I love it.....swimming tomorrow with a friend and she pushes me too:)0
