My birthday is Monday the 22nd!!!! We can kinda celebrate our birfdays together sorta kinda.
I want this week to be an epic week! I have less then 2 weeks left of Jillian's 30 DS and while I am not seeing as many changes now, I have stepped up my running as in running outside which is so much harder than the treaddy, plus I am doing hills and running longer than the treaddy. I have so much more stamina now and am so happy but I tell ya, my legs feel the running outside. I have to stretch my quads more today. This weeks workouts consist of all 3 split up in the days so 2 days of each. My goal is to give my all and really pay attention to not going over my 1700 cals and not eating late. Ideally I would like to stop eating by 9 pm. I am also going to start setting my alarm to get up at a decent time to workout in the morning. My kids have been sleeping in till like 10 or so and it just ruins my day I have been finding. So I am going to set my alarm and try to be more consistent with the time of my workouts. It's too easy otherwise to say screw it i'll do it tomorrow.
Hope you all have a wonderful week getting healthy and doing your exercise things. Can't wait to hear from you all.0 -
HAAAAAAPPY BIRRRTHDAY!!!!
:flowerforyou:  :flowerforyou:  :flowerforyou:
Have a fantastical day and enjoy yourself!0 -
Morning! So yesterday and today I was tired and incrrrrrredibly hot so I'm not going as fast as usual but I am doing each move fully and more carefully. Was fun! Still dripping by the end of it! Tomorrow I'm getting up a little earlier to do the session and have time for breakfast with Mr GHS and open my birthday present, yay!
It's bucketing down here - hopefully it'll clear the air a little. Hope you are all marvellously well!0 -
My birthday is July 24th as well0

Awesome job ghs, and no doubt you felt those muscles even more pronounced when you did it! Hope the weather clears the air for sure.
Its almost your birthday! My brother's birthday is the 24th too, he is 2 years younger than me.
I will be sure to wish you happy birthdays on Wednesday...which for you is soon, but for me is still another 12 hrs or so away lol.
Hi 1NewSammie!!! Welcome! I will be sure to wish you a happy birthday too0 -
Happy birthday 1newSammie!
I did manage to get up earlier, and we had porridge with banana and peanut butter (home made yum) in the garden whilst I opened my cards. Bit rubbish that I'm at work, then going to rehearsal and wont be home til 10.30, when I'll crawl into bed, but apparently he has plans for the weekend. Yay!
This morning Pure Cardio - I like it because it's 18 mins non-stop rather than repeating a set 3x, but I had juuuust enough energy to keep going until about 3 mins before the end....and they stopped and did cool down at 5 mins to the end. I felt cheated! So I did a set of squats whilst they breathed a bit and felt better :happy:0 -
How COOL is this - friend just asked why I did Insanity this morning. I said it's because I'd lose the Sunday rest otherwise by moving it along.
She then asked 'why didnt you just skip it, it's your birthday!!'
....and I realised it hasnt ever occured to me to skip a session! How cool is that?! Something's clicked0 -
Happy birthday!!!!!!
Awesome job on pure cardio and doing those extra squats!
And it is so awesome that you haven't even thought of skipping, you should be very proud, insanity isn't for the faint of heart and to see you go into Round 2 and committing even more is so awesome and motivating. I miss insanity so much in fact have been in a funk since I finished and am definitely thinking more and more that I need to do round 2 sooner than later for my mental stability.
It's funny how a program called insanity can actually make you feel more sane and focused.....strange.
Hope you guys had a wonderful birthday!0 -
I had a great morning, then I went to work (normal day) then I went to rehearsal which was good fun and when I got home my lovely mister had made tea and the birthday stuff which arrived in the post during the day was stacked on my pillow so we had tea in bed and opened my other cards. My best friend got me bumblebee socks (I love bumblebees) and some Rich tea biscuits - bonkers!
Struggling with the heat still and doing Insanity, because if it were cooler I *know* I could push harder and move faster. I think my strength in my legs is improving ALL the time, but I still cant see much improvement in my arms and chest. Think I must check the most efficient strength exercises for those and even if I spend 20 mins every other evening, it might help. Pressups are my nemesis and damnit, by my wedding day I want to do a full one!0 -
11 hour nap last night, lovely
Have you decided what to do at the end of JM, BBM? When do you finish?0 -
Sweet 11 hr nap sounds divine! I wish!
I have yet to decide, i'm really struggling with it. It has been weighing on my mind crazy and yesterday I was realizing that even though I am stronger I have a lot of flub on my body and in places I thought was gone like my triceps which is hindering seeing muscles without flexing if that makes sense. So I am thinking what I may do is to eat my bmr only and only a certain amount of my exercise calories instead of trying to be only 500 cals for my whole day. Sounds strange but its been weighing on my mind.
I am done Jillian in officially 8 workouts. My last day is next Saturday. I have been talking to my husband about it and he thinks I won't have time for Insanity and running with school, nor will I have time just for insanity. But I would run into the same problem if I decided to continue with Jillian and running, it would be about the same amount of time....its becoming a really difficult decision0 -
I have felt very discombobulated for the last few days, and sooo tired, and I said, I'll just have a nap. Well, I slept through supper, rehearsal, MrGHS coming home, and finally woke up when the kittens wanted breakfast. Needed and I felt a lot better
Having seen the post from HelloitsDan, I worked out my BMR to be 1607, my TDEE (with Insanity) is 2460, without it's 2090. So that either 1980 with 20% cut or 1800 with 20% so I'll see how 1800-1900 works for a few weeks and go from there0 -
Oh and timing wise...what will work for you best with school. You focus better when running, and can fit it into whatever time slot is available. I think running, and Insanity or a JM session whenever you feel like it will make the most of your time, your passions, and give you a time out from your education. My tuppence worth0

Your kitties are so adorable!
I looked at some of Dan's posts and he is chock full of info and I will read more. How is Insanity going?
I finally decided I am going to do Jillian's Body Revolution for the full 90 days and continue running and train for triathlon for next year its only a small one but one nonetheless. I am also going to work on 1500 cals a day but going to pay attention to my net and not go under 1200 net. For the longest time I haven't been even looking at net but I can see why I may not be losing as well. I am generally about 5-6000 cals under every week which I think is way too much. So gonna try that approach for a while.
I have also started taking my vitamins everyday and my omega 3 oil and am really going to concentrate on getting that water. I think if I take 2-3 cups each meal and make sure I finish them I should get my water in no problem plus whatever water I use when I am working out.
I shouldn't have a problem fitting in these things with my school schedule but will be many early mornings but it will start my day off so awesome!
My NSV yesterday....I ran 5 miles in 55 mins.....its a long time but I haven't run 5 miles in like 2 years and have only run outside 1 other time, I normally run on the treadmill plus it was out here in the country, I am afraid normally to go anywhere for fear I will meet a bear or something lol, I know silly but a genuine fear....which I conquered yesterday I was so proud.
So what's up for your week? any goals this week? Struggles? focuses?0
