NO one has been talking about reducing or stopping their drinking for almost two months. Might as well free up some server space.....

Haha it's summer and it's been hard to reduce or stop drinking for many I'm guessing! Lol we have tended to enjoy more drinking in a stressful spring and then finally a vacation in the summer here...BUT, I am back to cutting down finally... Made myself fancy Teavana iced tea yesterday and drank that with my t.v. shows instead of the beer in the fridge or wine as I used to... I realize I was gaining weight again, food and drink related, but I am back on the exercise track and drinking in moderation... My wedding anniversary is this weekend and we will probably have a drink or two, but I am trying to abstain on the non-eventful days... But, if no one else is here, shutting down the topic may be the thing to do...0

Thank you for writing! SOunds like you are curbing the cravings and getting on track. Excellent! Glad someone was watching the old posts. Have a great anniversary and celebrate with laughter, not liquor.....0

Ok, well we did celebrate with both of those over the night, and did have fun, we went on a boat cruise and ate out...but today I am back to the iced tea !0

I watch it and I read it. Sadly, I have been failing-so nothing to say.0

I'm new and would like to see this forum more active. I'm improving, although last weekend saw the slightest of setbacks. It's still better than where I was just two months ago.0

Well then, time to start a new topic. Why not call it "August goals" and journal a bit about your goals, and where you are starting from. I bet you will get a lot of responses that give help and encouragement.0

I'm coming up on 14 months sober.. I don't post here much because it seems to be more about moderation than actualy Sobriety (which is fine!) but I don't moderate, I don't drink at all..
Sorry!0 -
Don't shut it down--this is just the topic I need to read to stay on my weight-loss goals.0

Then we will be here for you, and you shall be here for me and the rest of us. SHut down? NOT.
I look forward to reading everyone's venting, musings, revelations, and declarations of awesomeness.
As for me, I am so happy with my soda maker so that I can make all the club soda I want. It is fizzy, reminds me of beer, but is better for me and fills me up. Added bonus, the burps are just as loud and Barney-like!0 -
I'm new-hope you aren't shutting down! :ohwell:0

I too am new to this forum and this is exactly what I need is well . At the end of the night I really enjoy a rum & tea, but with that I have also found 40 unwanted pounds over the last few years. I'm looking for the help and support as well to try to cut down .0
