vacation advice

Hi all! Evey year my husband and i take a vacation a few hours north of here. It is a week jammed with hiking, kayaking and lots of outdoor ativities. We play tennis and walk everywhere. Typiccally in the past i have taken the week off of my usual routine since we are so active. However, this is the first time i am following a program precisely. The week we are gone is my 4th week of insanity...which means when we return i would do my recovery week. Normally i would just take the week off but i am afraid that my endurance will go down. Thoughts? Thinking maybe i will jump back in on the 4 th week and do and repeat it once more before the recovey week??

I was in the same position as I travel internationally for work a few times per month. With Insanity (and previously JMBR) I feel like I am not able to take a week or a few days off, because it would throw my body off completely. So, I always take my workout programs with me and make sure that I do not miss any days. Luckily, with Insanity you do not need any weights...then things really become complicated.
I would suggest to take Insanity with you and try to do as many of them in your time there as possible. The hiking, etc will just be extra exercise! Also, since it is the 4th week of month 1, it would be tough just skipping the week and going into Recovery week and then directly into month two. If, for some reason, you are not able to do Insanity while traveling, I would suggest to do the 4th week when you return as opposed to skipping it.
I hope this helps!!0
