Does anyone know if the OA books are anywhere in ebook format? I find the books helpful but would like to take them with me. The thing is, I work social work and get some very discouraging comments about how we model after AA. Most of it revolves around the difference between a compulsion and a chemical dependency. But I have a Kindle and would love to be able to read my books without it becoming an office wide debate.

I use "Slender Steps to Sanity - Notes of Hope"
"Letting Go of Compulsive Eating: ........... Daily Meditations
"The cups & Scales Everything Weighed Cookbook" this is way more than a cookbook, it has alot of info.

You can sign up for LifeLine and download a PDF. If you have not yet discovered this amazing resource, I highly suggest everyone check it out. This month's issue is on Higher Power. Every issue is amazing.

Without AA, there would be no OA, as well as all other recovery programs. I have an iPad and use the Kindle app, so if you have a Kindle, it's even better. I downloaded the Big Book for 99 cents and the 12&12 of OA for $7.50. I'm sure there are freebies, I just haven't looked.
ETA - I also downloaded For Today for about $70 -
thank you CoCoMa, that was a great help!! although I paid double for the big book0

I found a lot of the OA books on Amazon's website... I have the 12 and 12, the Big Book, For Today and one other one.. but I'm blanking on the name now. When I went to my first meeting things clicked so I wanted the books ASAP so I got them on my Kindle (although the Big Book isn't the most current edition and the eBook page numbers don't match up with the printed copy if you are referencing it during a meeting).0

I have For Today and Voices of Recovery on my Kindle and use them every morning for my daily reading. I love that I can pack up my kindle and have my OA with me. I also have 'Seeking the Spiritual Path' which is an OA book on there. You can get the Lifeline sampler book and Overeaters Anonymous ( the brown book) for Kindle also. HTH. I also work in the socail work/health service arena. People get anxious about programmes that appear to be religious I think but to me this is a misconception of 12 step programmes. I just share my experience if I am asked and hope to carry the message. xx0
