Our Invitation to You
We of Overeaters Anonymous have made a discovery. At the very first meeting we attended, we learned that we were in the clutches of a dangerous illness, and that willpower, emotional health and self-confidence, which some of us had once possessed were no defense against it. We have found that the reasons for the illness…

The Promies
The Promises We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace. No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others. That feeling of uselessness and…

Is this group still active?
I'm not seeing any posts or discussions in 2022, is the group still active? Or has everyone moved over to a Private OA-based group? Thank you. #OvereatersAnonymous

A food addict just starting the road to recovery
Hello. My name is Amz and I'm a food addict. It took me a long time to understand this and realize I'm not a person who can eat in moderation without mindful effort. I have been successful in weight loss in the past, but my emotional eating habit has worsened substantially over the last two years. I do not have people in…

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself :-)
I'm Alane H. from Metairie, LA. I've been in OA since March 2002, abstinent from sugar since May 2002, but lots of ups and downs with other foods and food behaviors. I miss my regular face to face meetings, but I'm grateful we can meet via Zoom and the phone. I'm also a workaholic who recently became unemployed, so I know…

Gratitude List for today?
I thought I share my gratitude for today, here are my top 3: 1. My doctor, because she emailed me today to check up 2. My spouse because he fixed me lunch and is taking care of dinner tonight 3. My 18 year old, because she called me from her lunch break in Texas just to tell me that she loves me, but plans on beating me in…

Newcomer to OA
I am new to OA. I have AA experience and am on Step 4 in that fellowship. I know that to do it right you need a sponsor, go to meetings and work the steps. I am highly motivated. I am looking for a male OA sponsor. Preferably in the Atlanta area. I know nothing about OA.
