It works really well for me to eat about every 3 hours. I stay satisfied all day, but not overly full or overly hungry.0

From my understanding the amount and size of your meals does not effect (increase/decrease)the rate of your metabolism. That notion was proven to be a myth. It is more of personal preference, if eating more frequently helps you meet your goals than do it. I know I eat throughout the day and it helps me to stay consistent with meeting my calorie goals (sometimes).
