Stomach Fat

For those of you who have already lost all or most of your weight, how long did it take the stomach fat to go? Was it the last? I am far past my surgeon's goal, BMI is normal (high end) and I have anywhere from 17-25 lbs to go to reach MY goal. I am noticing the weight coming off more in the leg area and the "girls" but the abdominal region hasn't budged in about the last 20 lbs. Really hoping to lose about 3 more inches there. I know we can't "spot" lose, so really just wondering if that will be the last to go.

It was definitely the last to go.

The other thing is that your pani has empty fat cells in it that will not go away without plastic surgery and they make it look like you have fat there when you don't. The fat cells aren't nice and flat and paper thin so they look like fat.

I have lost 72 pounds and need to drop another 109 but I can tell you I have to agree with you the stomach fat has to be the last to go. I see weight loss in my face, neck, breasts, and upper legs but the middle section all though going down still makes me look heavier. the legs on my shorts/pants are way too big but still fitting around the waist and belly. I really thought that by now my slacks would be fulling of of me but not so. I am wondering if anyone has checked into tummy tucks, I have been told there are 2 different kinds one being called a mini tummy tuck. Does anyone know how much a mini tummy tuck would cost? thank you.

For me the last to go was legs. My legs still look heavy I feel even though I am at around 130 pounds and at my goal. I am only 5'4" so that might be why and have always had fat legs. I still take measurements monthly but the last two months no change in any measurements of bust, hips, waist, upper thighs, calves.
I have two rolls around my waist/belly also but that is loose skin. It won't go away unless cut off via plastic surgery.

Some people never lose their stomach fat and need plastic surgery to fix that area. My problem area is my thighs. I lost all my fat around my middle. Do you wear shapewear to make it less noticeable? There are comfortable options out there. I wore it a lot pre-plastics and still do when I am going to a formal event and want to make sure everything is in place.

Honestly, the abdominal area isn't that noticeable to anyone but myself. It tucks well into the jeans, etc. And I don't think there is an over abundance of loose skin. As time progresses, I can see the wrinkly areas that are loose skin as opposed to the spots that are still fat. And you're right, some people never lose that. I remember as a senior in high school trying on bikinis (I was 5'5" and about 110 lbs) and still didn't have the stomach for a bikini. Might not happen. I do see as the weight loss progresses, though, that it's firming up some and the arms aren't quite as bad either. I really need to accept that I'm not 25 anymore and that where I am now is great. I haven't tried shapewear--may try that in the future. We'll see how things go down the road.
