Hello all and welcome to all new members! Please feel free to use…

My Name is Monique, and I had WLS on 8/22/2022. I lost a total of 48 pounds, and then I stopped. I have been eating right, and I have added exercise. Maybe the meager calories are the reasons why I haven't made progress. I am trying to exercise regularly and I am getting in shape. I am trying to focus on the positives.

Hi! I've been blogging my journey, but have had a lot of struggles making myself post new entries because of some backlash. The writing process helps me to stay honest with myself. I'd love some feedback from people who know the struggles and rewards. I'd appreciate your opinions! http://www.butyouhavesuchaprettyface.com/
In October 2011 I was 386lbs. I was on oxygen and in a wheelchair. The doctor told me I had 5 to 10 years left because of my emphysema. I had gastric bypass surgery and over the next 2 years I lost 171lbs. Over the last 2 years I have put 50lbs back on and I'm scared to death about regaining all that weight back. I got in…
I am starting the 5 day pouch test today. Just looking for insight from anyone who has done it.
First of all, yes I’m wearing panties. They are pink so it doesn’t look like it! I had skin removal surgery on January 23, 2018 so I am barely 4 months out. I did so much research and suffered with lipedema before. I started at 327 lbs in 2010, but have worked toward this loss for the past 8 years. When I say WORKED, I…
At my WLS Doc 2yr Post Op he said I am a good Candidate for skin removal called a Panniculectomy/Trunkplasty. My insurance will pay due to medically necessary. I have constant infection in my skin flaps. Has anyone done this? If so, was it worth it? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
Good reminder....thanks! I thought this was a good topic for discussion and others thoughts and I did not want o continue the discussion on person's success story thread :) I agree that maintenance is not easy and if you have WLS maintenance can definitely be very challenging if you get too cocky and let the habits you…
Its Girl Scout cookie season. This year I pledge to not eat those wonderful confections that my daughter is selling. Instead I've decided to donate the boxes I would normally purchase to "Cookies for the Troops" every box donated will be shipped to actively deployed military, to give them a little taste of home. If you…
Hi, I am having gastric sleeve surgery on December 7th. I would like to find some friends on MFP that have either had WLS or are going to have it. Thanks!
