I just got my bodymedia Fit about a week ago. I'm still pretty confused. Say I consume and burn all day long and my goal is a deficit of 1000 a day. Well, come 8pm, I'm not going to eat anymore but how do I know if I will burn enough off if I'm not at 1000 yet? I find myself "done" for the day around 8pm. I'm done eating and exercising but I might not be at 1000 yet, and know I'll burn more while sleeping and any other little walking around I may do, but anyone have any tricks to figuring it out?

thank you in advance and please feel free to add me as a friend. I'm active all day long and love sharing this weight loss experience with others. Thank you!!

Look at your burn "All Day" and get a feel for what you burn sleeping, Mine is 1.9 cal/min.

If you are done eating at 8pm than you would have 4 hours times 60 min, times Calories/ min burned (1.9) for me. mine would equal 456

This will be a little conservative but better safe than sorry.

If you look on the Cals burned on the dashboard and put your curser over the lighter blue area you will get BMF's estimate on how you will finish.

The activity manager does estimate your burn for the rest of the day, but its not always accurate, for example if you've been active all day it might assume you'll keep being active. However, with time I think you'll find it easier to predict.

Using this calculation, I've noted down what my burn would have to be for 7pm, 8pm etc all the way to 12. When I settle down for the evening, I can then see if I've burnt enough. Does that make sense?

    Exactly

PS Keep in mind that over time and as you approach your goal (or are more fit) your calorie consumption at rest changes and so you need to build a new table of values based on the change. I know MFP automatically recalculates after a certain amount of weight lose. I think it is every 10 pounds.
