I have my cholesterol set to 300mg by following http://cavemanketo.com/configuring-mfp/ tutorial on how to customize mfp for keto.
According to my bar graph on mfp, I am going way over in mg, like an average of 600mg of cholesterol! Is normal/safe for keto? Please only educated answers.

From my understanding, cholesterol is found only in animal products, so dairy, animal meats/fats, etc. (http://www.cdc.gov/nutrition/everyone/basics/fat/cholesterol.html). Cholesterol is important in the body for such things as hormones as well as the cell membranes of all your cells (http://www.livestrong.com/article/196248-what-is-cholesterol-used-for-in-the-body/). I *personally* wouldn't be too concerned with going a little over the max, but if you are at all concerned, you could always try to use more plant based fats (coconut oil, olive oil, etc.).0

Just remember that dietary cholesterol has very little to do with serum cholesterol, look at the numbers from ketoers who've had great bloodwork after years or decades, and keto on.0

Like PDXHollyD said, dietary cholesterol has very little effect on your bodily cholesterol levels. It's more saturated and trans fats that you should look out for which can raise your bad cholesterol and lower your good.
I've been on a keto diet since November 2012 and my total cholesterol has dropped quite a bit. I had bloodwork done before I started the diet and again just last month and all of my numbers improved greatly. I also ingest around 600mg of cholesterol per day.0 -
