Do you make the roux separately with oil and flour or do you put the flour + sour cream directly into the vegetables? I've seen different ways of doing this. Yesterday I made Spinach fozelek - I made the roux and added milk and sour cream and then added the spinach to this.

My favorite is Tökfőzelék made with some nice summer squash. My mother always stired in raw flour into the sourcream and that went into the pot to cook out without actually making a cooked roux. For me that is a summer staple and reminds me of so many things. Good old comfort/soul food it is!
I use plenty of fresh dill in that.0
