Just Started.

Hey there! I just purchased the YAYOG app. Looking for a little support from fellow YAYOG-ers. :)

    Hi and welcome!

I am currently working through YAYOG and also doing yoga sessions every day.

One exception is I am focussing on building strength in pull-ups so I am also doing assisted pullups when I work the pulling side of things. I have built slowly from being able to do sets of one good unassisted pullup and have just recently found I can do sets of two!

I found the best way for me was to place a stepladder so I could hang from the pull-up bar with my heels placed on one rung of the stepladder so my legs are paralell to the floor when I have my chin over the pull-up bar. That way, the weight of my legs is out of the exercise and I can't use my legs to help the pull-up. I am sure this approach has enalbed me to add on that second reall pull-up.

There are many who post on MFP and say bodyweight exercises are ok to begin with but you will soon have to use weights to keep progressing, but what programs like YAYOG show is you can keep progressing with bodyweight without ever having to resort to weights if you don't want to.

Have fun! and ask questions - it's what keeps this group alive.

Hello! I'm on week 4 of the program. I feel l have noticed a change in my posture. I find myself standing straighter without thinking about it. I also felt stronger running the other day. I am looking forward to the day when I complete my first pull up!
