So for the last two days my stomach has been hurting and feels bloated. I know that my pants feel tighter again in the waist. I know that I haven't gained any weight. Any ideas on what can be causing this or do I need to make a doctors appt? I am 3 weeks post op.

    Hi,
    I wouldn't take any chances this early after surgery. Call to the Dr. office and ask to speak with the nurse. She will be able to ask the right questions and let you know if you need to come in for an appt. I'm not quite 2 weeks out and every day still feels kind of new to me. Good luck!

    Sorry to hear things are not well.....

    I am 3 weeks post-op also, and I suggest you call the doctor's rooms...

    Sorry to hear you are having some difficulty. Call your dr in am. My dr told me call if anything ever does not feel right. Better to call and it be nothing than not to call and end up in ER.

    So I called the doctor's office and talked to the nurse. She said it could be constipation. I am to try gax ex or gavascon and if that doesn't work then ducolax suppositories or a fleet enema. I hope the gas ex works. I don't like enemas....

    I'm 2.5 weeks out from RNY myself and I was thinking constipation also, but I'm glad you called the dr's office to verify with them. I hate not knowing what's going on with my body and I'm just starting to figure some of the strange feelings and noises coming from my abdomen out. Good luck with the Gas ex!
