Food co-ops, Farmer's markets?

Does anyone else in the group take part in any co-ops, Farmer's Markets etc? I started getting Bountiful Baskets 4 weeks ago and have lost 8 pounds just by forcing myself to use what I get in my basket each week and letting nothing go to waste (ok, this week I did compost the mustard greens). Have found that I'm rarely going to the pantry to get out a processed box of chemicals to quickly fix a meal because we are so full of good natural foods.

Hello
I shop at health food stores (Whole foods and Trader Joes) and I have never heard of these baskets. They seem like such a great idea! What are the prices like?0 -
Bountiful Baskets $15 plus 1.50 handling (for credit card etc). No joining, no commitment other than volunterring every 6-8 times you contribute to a basket. Not all over the US yet. Get a nice mixutre of 50% fruit, 50% veggies and then they have add-ons for additional $$. Today I got 36 lbs of apples for $27 so have been busy this a.m. making applesause and freezing it. Like to use that instead of oil when making muffins and cakes. Check out their website. It's pretty neat. Today my hub and I volunteered so we got additional items plus what was in the basket. Volunteering consists of helping offload the truck, sorting the produce into the baskets and general pickup of boxes, papers etc. No employees, all volunteer. It's a lot of fun and pretty easy. We are senior citizens and have no problem with what we are asked to do. I know OK, TX, KS, NB, UT, SD have this but not sure about other states.0
