That graphic poster above speaks to every area of our lives.

It's Saturday....and I woke only to feel DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) in my core and mid-back region. Every breath taken seemed to be felt in those areas. I had plans of doing a HIIT cardio workout but will do a complete body stretch, try using a foam roller on my back ( to help release lactic acid which is probably accumulated in the muscles from the past two days of lifting), and rest. I definitely want to be ready for next week’s workout sessions. There is definitely some muscle recovery/repair going on.

    Wishing everyone a great day.:flowerforyou:

Pamela, you are looking good in your picture.

I did a shortened version of TUFF Lower Body1 due to a complication which resulted in me to waking up DH at 4am when I couldn't solve it myself. Very heavy dumbbells of 55 lbs each got stuck partway in their holders & as hard as I tried I couldn't move them down or up. So DH to the rescue. I was tempted to chuck planned workout after that but did not. Workout was 23 min and 90 cals. Moral of the story is don't go up in weight until you are ready. It was embarressing to say the least.

Sherry today's saying is rather apt. My morning was like that.

THANK you Donna & Marla!! I got brave and decided to sport a pair of white shorts today. I am VERY self-conscious of my legs and will wear them long enough to cover my thighs or capris and that is even around the house on a typical day...lol. I am going to give TUFF WOs the credit for giving me the courage to even post that pic.

Donna, ohhhh noooo about the DBs getting stuck on ya early this morning. I hear ya with regards to the "moral of the story". With this DOMS today, I am going to stay where I am for at least another week weight-size wise until they feel "lighter"...kwim? Don't want to rush things and get injured for an extended period of time.

Glad you got done what you could....something is better than nothing for each of us.

Marla, your Nia class sounds like a perfect way to start the day.

    Hi all!

There's some heavy lifting going on here, isn't there? Soreness! Stuck dumbbells! Y'all are S-E-R-I-O-U-S!! But do remember to rest your body. Remember that lifting challenges the muscle...but resting is what builds the muscle.

    Pam, you're lookin' great!

Donna, husband's are good to have around. I'll remember what you said about not going up in weight too soon.

Marla, good for you getting Nia before work.

Today, was just more tot-carrying, actually alot of it. I'm carrying her on my back more now, with no sling--just muscle, and it's working out pretty well for us. We did some shopping, dinner, playtime at the park, yogurt, and then more playtime. Oh yeah, we measured her the other day and compared it to the growth charts. Her weight is appropriate for her height and v.v. And she is in the top (97th) percentile for 3 year olds (even though she is only 2yr9mo), or otherwise equivalent to the average (50 percentile) 4 year old!!! And that's using the U.S. chart. But Greek kids are generally smaller, which means she towers over kids her age. She's huge! My son was enormous too, but I'm starting to think she's even bigger than he was at this age! Well, at least she gives me a good workout.

    Have a great weekend!!

Today we spent the afternoon walking through the zoo. Then, my hubby scored free tickets to a Bruno Mars concert, so I got my groove on! lol Unconventional exercise, but I was still moving and had a great time doing it!

Pam: You look fabulous in your white shorts! Awesome job!

    Great work ladies! <3
