This is getting harder!

I can't believe how much harder this routine gets as the reps go up! Today was day 1, week 4. I managed to do them all but it was very difficult, especially on the deadlifts. I have been starving since then too!! I'm wondering how much is due to the increase in reps and how much is from just being tired before I start. I'm a teacher and our first day of school was Monday. I went from sleeping till I felt like getting up, which was usually around 9:00 and a good 8 hours sleep to now getting up at 5 AM again. Monday night I got about 4 hours sleep and last night I got about 7 hours.

It sure gets harder! Getting enough rest is very much needed to be able to keep up with the routine. Don't stress though, because it is designed to let you fail on exercises at a certain point. So just try to get enough sleep, eat well and see where it takes you!0

Once you actually start lifting at your 10 RM, week 4 gets HARD.
If you're not eating close to maintenance calories, it's going to be a bit harder.
If you're not getting enough sleep (for me, that's 7-8 hours), it's going to be a LOT harder.
I just came off a weekend away, eating pretty crappy food and sitting in a car for the better part of two days of a long weekend, and I could only manage 11/7 reps for my two week 4 bench press sets. Not exactly a thrilling result. :grumble:0 -
I couldn't agree more! I'm in Week 3 (at my previous 10 RM) and I'm wondering how in the hell I'm going to get through Week 4?! The weird thing is that I know I can do it...I just know it's going to be tough. That's what I love about this program :-)0

It sure as heck gets hard  I'm on my sixth (or fifth? can't remember) and I'm starting to experience failure pretty frequently, especially on OHP and curls during week 3 and 4 (did my Day1 yesterday and...well...ouch)...it's dang hard at this point!!!0
