The calorie count!!

So I have made my food for tomorrow and possibly made the mistake of inserting it all on mfp!

I have logged about 2500 cals

Breakfast is mushrooms cooked with butter, bacon, eggs and about 10g strong cheddar for taste

Lunch: 3 butter coated chicken drumsticks (skin on) with mixed salad and dressing of olive oil, red wine vinegar and garlic

Dinner: pork shoulder steaks cooked in butter and broccoli

Is this too much? Also is there an option to take the calorie count off mfp?

the calorie count looks awfully high for what u are having.
I would double check to see what they are off site and so a comparison.
I don't think u can turn calories off.

I don't know enough about you to say if 2500 is too much; for me, to lose weight, with my current exercise routine, it would be too much. For some it might not be enough.

If you want to cut the calories down, ditch the butter and cut back on the bacon. You have plenty of other good fat sources there.

I eat about 2000 - 2200 calories a day and that works for me, but your needs might be different. So you'll need to play around with your macros to find your sweet spot.

I have my macros set at 65% fat/ 20% protein/15% carbs. while I don't focus on hitting them perfectly everyday, but I do try to come as close to my fat% as I can.

Remember this is not a quick fad lose all my weight as fast as I can diet!!! Slow and steady will likely stay off and will be more fat loss as apposed to lost muscle (ya wanna keep as much muscle as you can).

ps- I eat butter and bacon alot!!!!

Agreed that it looks a little high. Maybe overestimating the butter? If you are using it to cook I don't think you'll eat 100% of what goes in the pan.

Also, looks like you can't disable calorie count - at least not any way I can figure out. Don't stress about it - you are just starting and will get better at tracking over time.

    1. I eat 2500 cals a day, but I also do CF 5 times a week. You'd have to plug in your numbers to see if that was a good number for you! Check out the calculator at Scooby's Workshop, that's the one I use!

    2. You can't turn off calorie count here. Unfortunately.

    3. Drumsticks with skin are going to be super high calorie for maybe not much "fill you up"ness, so if you're really worried about, cut out one of those and have some more veggies.
