Taking a Break..... :'(

Last year I was diagnosed with mild Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. Its basically carpal tunnel but in my feet. It hasnt bothered me in a long while, but over the last 5 days it has been bothering me again. The insides of my ankles hurt and are almost sore to the touch. My feet are tingling and going from like they are feeling hot to cold. And now it hurts to just walk and even sit. So, needless to say, I have to take a break for a week or so (more if my Dr. Says I have too) to see if I feel any better. I forsee a lot of ice and ibuprofen in my future! I also will probably be making a trip back to my podiatrist to see what he has to say. All I know is that I want this to go away!!!

It also looks like I will be doing a lot of crunches ab type work outs as I can do those without needing to use my feet. Maybe Ill invest in one of JM's ab DVDs for now instead. I feel like I need to do SOMETHING!!

Ive been doing so well! But no set back is going to stop me!

  • that is a shame, hope you feel better soon though. again (ive suggested it to someone else) perhaps swimming will help for full body as it shouldnt put too much pressure on your ankles should it.

sounds like a plan though with the ab dvd just make sure its not stuff like planks though cos jilly says they work the abs and it might not all turn out to be floor work/ stuff not on your feet.

That's a bummer! I know how it is. I've had ankle problems for as long as I can remember. Since starting this it constantly hurts to walk. :o( I FINALLY have an Dr. appointment in a couple weeks so hopefully they can figure something out!
As frustrating as it is when your body just can't do something and your mind wants to, it's important to listen to your body when it is telling you it needs a break. Nothing good will come of pushing it in your case.
Keep up with ab stuff and maybe ride a bike or swim if possible?

we will miss you! But you need to take care of you. You can still eat healthy and maybe do some light walking here and there. Drop in anytime! Best of luck!
