Hey all!
I figured many of you college and grad school students were moving back to school soon (like me) and discovering that you have NO money! So I thought it'd be great if we could all pool together our resources and mention our cheapest buys/best places to buy things for either apartments or dorms?
I know that I'm currently sitting in an empty apartment with a garbage bag and....I'll admit that's pretty much it. I have $27 to my name currently and still need to purchase all of the little things (like soap...yes I admit I've been pouring hand sanitizer all over my hands). Anyone else in this predicament and have advice/help?

Check out Habitat for Humanity restores, Goodwill and Salvation Army/ other thrift stores for furniture. Or Craigslist.
If there's a merchandise outlet store in your area, hit it up. I'm often able to find housekeeping items for very cheap there.
And, if your school has a back to school welcome event, go to it. There are a ton of coupons and freebies at those events.0
