I just thought I'd ask what everyone in the group plans on doing for the challenge. As for myself I plan on continuing trying to eat healthier ( I started 7-22-13) and I am going to be starting T25 for the 50 days that takes, and after that I may start that program over depending how I felt about it, or I may get the Gamma video ?? Or try something else all together?
Im not sure what we are to do about tracking results but from what I have seen in other groups they tend to take measurements, pics and weigh in on day 1,30,60 and 90? Is that what everyone is going to do here? I personally weigh myself every Monday morning, and was thinking of taking pics and measurements the same day ...once a week...just for myself.....
I am really hoping that by the end of the challenge I lose 25-30lbs and def hope to be in a size 10 !!! Im Currently in a 14

Since I started about 2 months ago, I'm going to continue eating healthier/portion control/tracking my cals. As for exercising - I've been doing it on average 4 days a week, sometimes 3. I'd like to keep that up and actually try to make it 4-5. After my work out today it will be 5 for this week! Yeah!! on the right track!! I'd like to start incorporating some different exercises .. I want to get into some pilates in addition to my work outs
I'm going to try to be strict until the holidays, for me that is just not taking any time off, or maybe not any for that matter! Cheat days for me is when I just neglect completely, because the way I eat on a regular basis I incorporate "fun" foods into my diet so I do not feel deprived as it is. So I really don't have a need to cheat! This is definitely getting into a habit for me and I'd like to keep it that way!
My goal is to lose about 20lbs (about half of my goal) by the holidays, maybe by then I will feel comfortable taking a before/after pic lol ! I weigh myself every morning as it is ( I know you're not supposed to but it personally keeps me on track ). If I lose a little less come the end of the year, that is OK with me, but I'm setting the bar medium to high, that way if I lose more I will be extra happy
I am open to taking other measurements etc though to keep up with the challenge!0 -
Hi! The response to the group has been extremely high, so on 8/23/13 I will post the final plans for the group as far as pics, measurements, etc. I'm currently doing T25 myself, and will be going into the 6th week of Beta. Hang in there!! Have a good weekend!0

I just started doing slim series yesterday from slim in six. So I will be continuing that program for 90 days.0

I just finished week 1 on Focus T25 & am also on 2nd month of Chalean Extreme. I'll continue these with a little TurboFire thrown in.0

I will be continuing to do what I've been doing since May 9th of this year when I stepped on the scale and realized I had gained back all the weight I lost last year. Boo! So...I'm counting calories/watching portion sizes and trying to make healthier choices as well as keeping track of everything I eat and drink. For exercise....I've been trying to do something at least 5 days a week. .I mostly either run outside or on my treadmill, use my elliptical, or do the WATP videos. I do some strength training too. My favorite thing to do though is the WATP videos...either one of the 4 mile or 5 mile ones. I'm 57....so maybe it's my age but I feel like I'm getting a pretty good workout with them. In the 14 weeks since I've been back here on mfp, I've lost 37 pounds, so it's working. My goal for this challenge will be to get below 160 on the scale. Since I'm at 175.3 as of this AM, I think that will be very do-able.0

i will continue to do what i have been doing since i joined MFP. (july 17,2013)
Log everyday to track food and read thread from groups i have joined.
Eating healthy and allowing myself sweats or even treats as long as i do incorporate them in my daily intake especially on the days that i do exercise.
For exercise i will go running monday and wednesday evening (i join a running club last year) for about 1 hour and do strenght training with the club. And i will go swimming at least one day (tuesday or thursday) and definitely go for long distance run (5k and more as the weeks come) either on friday or saturday. So I will try to be at least 4 days active.
And trying to lose only a pound a week so i don't feel deprived or bruned from doing too much.0 -

I really like the idea of weighing in on days 1, 30, 60 & 90. I don't want to becomer a "slave" to my scale this time around. Measurements and photos are a great idea too!0 -
I'm currently on week 7 of T25. Planning on doing the program over when I finish it in September. I really want to be to my goal weight by Christmas or in a size 6 whichever comes first. I'm currently between a size 8 and 10.0

Good morning! I just posted a couple of topics regarding the challenge about progress tracking, workouts, and introductions! Feel free to respond. Have a great day!0

What kind of changes have you seen with t25?0 -
I just started turbo fire yesterday! I haven't taken before pictures or measurements so i'm going to record that today before my next workout...according to the schedule i'll be working out 6 days a week for 90 days...i'm already feeling the effects of day one...alllllllll over so here's to doing it day by day! I weigh in once a week, and I think each week i'll take measurements too0

Hi! Once a week weigh ins and measurements are a great way to track your progress. With Focus T25 there is a weekly weigh in and measurements which I love because it's really the best weigh to gauge your progress it's called "Staturday". Gotta love Shaun T. I've lost 8 inches and 6 lbs so far that was as of last week.0

Good morning, all! I have always done well with juicing my breakfast and then counting calories the remainder of the day. I stick with mostly non-processed foods (fruits, veggies and a little bit of lean meat). I am down 20 lbs since the beginning of the year (10 this month) by keeping to this plan. I have added in Zumba twice per week. Now I am ready to add in some form of exercise on 3 other days per week (total of 5 days per week). Any suggestions for at home workouts with a decent calorie burn?0

I will be following the 60 day JNL Fusion program and then jumping into Turbo Fire, TapoutXT or T25.0

I've had great results with T25 so far. Just had our 3rd baby the end of May and I'm within 5 pounds of pre pregnancy weight and back into my smallest pre pregnancy clothes. Last time I took measurements (the end of week 5) I was down 9 inches overall and as of last weekend was down 6.2 pounds.0 -
Great! Congratulations on the results that's awesome! Glad you're doing the challenge and I look forward to hearing more!0

I plan to keep doing what I am doing with my eating habits, which is portion size and drinking my flavored water. I cannot drink plain water. I had both knees replaced and doctor said not to do anything to put strain on the knees so they last. I am going to Curves tomorrow for my first time. I figure I can get motivated to excerise. I know you need to do this along with portion size to see results. I will be posting on Wednesdays.0
-
Awesome and it sounds like a plan! I'm looking forward to your wednesday posts! We are all here to keep you motivated and to support you as well. Let us know how it goes at Curves.0

I plan to continue my new lifestyle of portion control, tracking calories, and getting in some activity - no matter how small - every day. I like walking, and so far it's been something I can manage with my 5 year old. I would love to be running by the holidays, but I'm going to try to work my way there slowly but surely. Looking at everyone's posts, I'm starting to think I should be doing one of those workout program or videos or something. When I was younger I used to love Tae Bo (sp?) back in the VHS days, maybe I should see if they have it on DVD! I check the scale more frequently than I should, but I'll be counting it once per week, and I haven't done pictures, but I think I would like to do that to see my progress.0
-
Haha! That is funny about the Tae Bo VHS tapes. I remember those. In fact when it was popular is when I started teaching aerobic kickboxing. There are a lot of workout dvd's out there that you could try. If you want some advice about some good ones let me know. Otherwise it sounds like you have a solid plan. Have a good evening. I look forward to your posts!0

I plan on eating less (portion control, calorie caps), cleaner (more organic, less/no alcohol, no HFCS); moving more throughout the day (hopefully the wildfire will clear out a bit more making more/longer dog walks possible) and setting fitness goals as well.
The first fitness goal I'm setting is 48 pushups (one for every year of my age), starting with ***one***! I know that sounds absurd, but one perfect pushup is really hard! So, I will work on my form, getting one pushup dine, then two, then three... The idea is that after weight-loss goals are achieved, I don't end up with tiny weak T-Rex arms and, that I'll be able to power a kayak better :-) Every week, I'm hoping to incorporate another fitness goal, based on how things are going :-)0 -
That's awesome. Congrats on the push ups and there's nothing absurd about it. I think it's great! Glad to have you and I look forward to hearing about your progress as well as the push ups!!0
-
I plan to keep it as varied as possible as i normally do, means everything gets worked and i don't get bored lol.
but running will be a constant along with swimming and some other challenges I'm doing :-)0
