What are the songs that keep you going? I thought it would be fun to hear some other ones.

There are two songs that I listen to EVERY. SINGLE. RUN. Since the beginning. They are like a lucky rabbit's foot for me, and I'm not sure if I could run without them any more.

This one was actually playing over the loudspeakers when I began my 2nd 5K.

I set my eyes to the west, walkin away from it all
Reachin for what lies ahead, I got my eye on it
I see my sweat hit the ground, I put my foot in the block
This is the race of my life and I cant wait for this shot
Cause I can feel the wind at my back
Chest is pumpin like a heart attack
Feet are movin and my mind is locked
Pressin on with everything I got
I got my eye on it
.....
I got my eye on the prize

(Toby Mac - Eye On It)

Cause im TNT im dynamite
TNT and i'll win the fight
TNT im a power lode
TNT just watch me explode

(AC/DC TNT)
I think of all the changes I've made in my life with my weight loss with this one. And I've become stronger.

Matt and Kim: Don't Slow Down

    Locked knees, no keys
    Brooklyn, Grand Street
    Four flights, late nights
    Black socks, white dice
    Ten pounds, loud sounds
    Turned up, tied and bound

    Don't slow down
    Don't slow down
    Don't slow down
    Don't slow down

    Don't slow down
    Fire escapes sunny
    Don't slow down
    Butter and honey
    Don't slow down
    Iron and money
    Don't slow down

Black Eyed Peas: Pump It (Especially good on hills)

Turn it up (turn it up) [3x]
    C'mon baby, just
    Pump it (louder) [6x]

And say, oh oh oh oh
    Say, oh oh oh oh
    Yo, yo
    Turn up the radio
    Blast your stereo
    Right now
    This joint was fizzlin'
    Now it's sizzlin'
    Right

(you can see I have a theme, lol)

I listen to "Shots" from LMFAO....just because it is basically the perfect cadance.

I listen to Pandora and so what I listen to varies, but "Against the Wind" always comes on when I get deep into my run. And for some reason I always picture myself following behind Forrest Gump lol.

I love "Sexy and I Know It" Great cadence and such a fun song.

I've begun to collect upbeat music and while I normally don't listen to dance etc., it is perfect thanks to the clear rhythm. I'm not very picky, but it seems like I favour female voices.

My run playlist has nothing to do with what I ordinarily listen to.

    Foo Fighters - My Hero

don't the best of them bleed it out
while the rest of them peter out
truth or consequence, say it aloud
use that evidence race it around

    there goes my hero
    watch him as he goes
    there goes my hero
    he's ordinary

    "Poison" BDB
It just makes me happy. I can't help but sign along and it makes me focus less on every little move I'm making.

Today I was out for a run and I was really struggling on the last km. Don't Stop Me Now by Queen came on my playlist:

I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva
I'm gonna go go go there's no stopping me
I'm burning through the sky, yeah
Two hundred degrees that's why they call me Mr. Fahrenheit
I'm travelling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you

    Don't stop me now
I'm having such a good time
    I'm having a ball

It brought a huge smile to my face and suddenly that last km seemed a little bit easier!

    Have a great day :D

When I am ready to slow my pace or stop running/walking completely this song always pushes me to finish

    David Guetta feat Sia-Titanum

    [Sia:]
    You shout it out,
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up

    [Chorus:]
    I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
    Fire away, fire away
    Ricochet, you take your aim
    Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
    I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
    I am titanium

    "Can't Hold Us" - Macklemore

First heard this one in my boot camp. I find it impossible not to get a little extra pep in my step when I hear it. There are others I don't know the artist/title, as usually I have Pandora set to a "Run" music channel.

Like a lot of you mention, my exercise music isn't necessarily reflective of what I listen to on a regular basis. I'm finding, though, that my horizons are being expanded and I'm more tolerant of different genres now :)

Gonna check out some of your suggestions!
