starting 5x5 SL in 6-10 days but...

My plan is to start the 5x5 in about 6-10 days. I am on last level of 30DS and want to finish it up.

I have my weights at home ready to go and yes I am very excited about it.

But....

I just want to make sure I am eating enough...

I have done the following calculation based on my actuals over the last 10 weeks. *Mind you just got my scale 2 weeks ago and have been weighing since then.

84,478(calories consumed)+17500(5lbs lost)=101978/63(number of days)=1619

I want to continue to loose weight so TDEE-20% puts me at 1295 which seems very very low to me. Esp if I am lifting.

And considering all the other calculators have my TDEE at an average of 2267 with my TDEE-20% at 1828. (used scooby, Miflin method, Harris, Fast method (weight*15)-20%, Activity level method...and a few more I found)

My plan is to go to a TDEE-20% and Setting my own Macros when I start lifting and I have my Macros as follows:

Protein: 128 g = 40%
Fat: 44.8 = 30%
Carbs whatever is left = 30%
(based on previous help from the group)

CW is 173, 5 ft 7, (almost)41 female with a desk job, a lazy 19 year old and a husband who loves video games (I do most of the cleaning and laundry etc). I currently do at least 4 25min 30DS sessions a week sometimes more.

Any advice, corrections comments concerns woud be appreciated.

Thanks
Edit: I had a thread about this ealier but my question seems to have gotten lost in the other questions posted. Sorry if I have broken protocal.

You say you got your scale 2 weeks ago but have 10 weeks worth of weighing. Are you referring to a food scale re the one you got 2 weeks ago?

10 weeks of tracking my weight loss to calculate TDEE

2 weeks with weighing my food for accuracy.

You may want to think about eating a different amount on lifting days than your regular/recovery days. I do TDEE-10 or 15% on regular days and I eat full TDEE or a little above on lifting days. I am going for body recomp though (fat loss), and I am not looking to lose any weight.

Yes I agree on the lifting days eat a bit more esp protein.

I just want to make sure my TDEE is correct as it seems so low for my height, weight etc.

As for me it's not really about weight either...more about loosing BF down to a fit range (21-24%) and getting toned and developing some nice lean "showing" muscles.

10 weeks of tracking my weight loss to calculate TDEE

2 weeks with weighing my food for accuracy.

    Thanks.

The issue with calculating your TDEE using your actual results is that it assumes accurate logging. As you were not using a food scale you may well have been eating more than you logged - therefore making the math come out screwy.

What has your weigh done in the last 2 weeks?

No worries. If it happens again, can you just bump the original thread. We sometimes miss them when it gets busy and they fall a few pages back. Thanks.

Do you have a link to the prior thread so we can use the data from there as a starting point. Thanks

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1067154-am-i-calculating-correctly is the link for the other thread...this one was more just about overall calculations for macro's which I was screwing up as well....

    <<<<<noob

I have lost 1lb in the last 2 weeks (weighing everything that goes in my mouth when able). If I am eating out I go to the website and use their calculation (typically pita pit anyway so I build my own pita)

In the last 2 weeks I have netted on average 1464 calories a day and I do 25mins of circut training (30DS at least 4x a week)

I guess at this point it is more important for me to know I am eating enough to maintain the lifting as fo me it's more about inches lost then weight lost...mind you that would be nice too..

    Again thanks for your help.

a bit more info and it may have answered my question.

3 Weeks of weighing my food so I am sure of my intake.

Avg daily is 1346 and lost 3lbs (weigh in today and down 2 from the last weigh in)

So my calculation is now this.

    29744+10500=40244/2=1916x20%=383

Leaves me with 1533 a day which makes so much more sense.

So glad I bought that scale....
